Stripped naked, pushed up against a wall, facing a machine gun.

Joseph knew what would happen next. He was standing in the courtyard of the Gestapo headquarters. The Nazi soldiers in Budapest had been given orders to round up and execute as many Jewish teens as they could before the Christmas holiday began.

Suddenly there was a commotion at the other end of the courtyard. A Gestapo officer arrived and commanded the shocked soldiers to stop the slaughter.

"As Christians you can't kill these teens on Christmas Eve," he scolded. "How can you go to Church after this? Better do it after Christmas," he reasoned.

After much debate the executioners reluctantly conceded and the teenage children were released into the officer's custody. Within moments they had been driven to safety in a stolen army truck.

The truth is; the officer in question was no Nazi, but the courageous Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg who saved thousands of Jewish lives in Hungary during this bleak and desperate time.

Years later in Israel, Joseph, told me of the vow he made that day to celebrate Christmas as long as he lived.

He was saved because of Christmas Day.

This season we joyfully celebrate Jesus' birth. But we do so recognizing that it's impossible to love Him and hate His people.

Bro Stef's Comments: The story above was sent to us by the ICEJ and it epitomizes the spirit of this season. One man (non-Jew) putting himself in harms way for people that he didn't know and they certainly didn't know him, yet, because Mr. Wallenberg knew God and was a man of faith and understood what it meant to love in deed and not just in word only and he also understood this one truth, you can not love God and hate His people, thousands of innocent young Jewish people were sparred the tortures at the hands of their Nazi executioners. The lessons that this story can teach all of us are legion!

1 John 3:14-18; We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. This season I've been wrestling with the idea that nowhere in the Bible is Christmas discussed. The argument becomes even more frustrating when you look at the history of Christmas and how the church has used a pagan holiday to make it easier for the people of that day to consider Christianity or joining the church. I wonder if this is what Yeshua had in mind when He asked us to reach out to people with the good news of salvation? Even the scenes depicted by the manger aren't really what happened according to the Biblical account. Even the wise men account is incorrect and by the way, the Bible isn't clear about the number of Wise men that came to the Lord after he was born and when they came to Him to pay homage. So this has been a year of a lot of questions and rethinking some of our traditions.

So, now that Christmas has become a formal holiday, and people seem to be more generous and their thoughts of reaching out to others seem to be more pervasive at this time of year, maybe we as Christians, those who believe in Yeshua, can use this time of year, as did Raoul Wallenberg in our story above - to reach out to others in love and kind deeds in order to show them the love of Christ that has the power to change their lives and save their souls. As for me, I like the lights and the festive atmosphere of this time of year and I really wish we could embrace the spirit of the season throughout the year.

Well, what do you know, I just uncovered something important to pray about in 2010. Lord help me, Stephan Wexler McCarroll to allow you to help me to live out your love and deeds of kindness throughout the year. I suspect that - that prayer will keep me busy all of 2010 and for the rest of my days on this marvelous planet we call earth, that God has so wonderfully created for all of us and as well for Himself, when He rules and reigns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords on this earth forever! What a Christmas Season that will be.

Isaiah 40:1-2; "Comfort, comfort my people says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem..."

According to a centuries-old rabbinical prophecy that appears to be coming true, on March 16, 2010, Israel will begin construction of the Third Temple in Jerusalem.

During the 18th century, the Vilna Gaon, a respected rabbinical authority, prophesied that the Hurva Synagoge in Jerusalem, which was built during his day, would be destroyed and rebuilt twice, and that when the Hurva was completed for the third time, construction on the ThirdTemple would begin.

The Hurva Synagogue was first destroyed shortly after its initial construction when Muslims demanding the return of loans tore it down. The synagogue was rebuilt a hundred years later and became the most important Jewish house of worship in the Holy Land, only be blown to pieces by Jordanian troops during Israel's 1948 War of Independence.

In 2001, Israel finally decided to rebuild the landmark, which today stands in the center of the Jewish Quarter in Jerusalem's OldCity. The building is scheduled to be completed and the Hurva Synagogue dedicated for the third time on March 15 of next year.

The Middle East stood on the brink of a financial crisis this week when the financial markets in Dubai, the Arab world's economic jewel, crashed a worrying 10 percent. The drop was preceded by the government-backed state conglomerate Dubai World informing creditors that they would have to wait at least another six months for repayment.

Dubai, one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, is home to a disproportionate amount of real estate development, diamond exports and other major industries in the Arab world. An economic collapse there would be felt heavily in every neighboring state.

Except Israel, that is. Thanks to the decades-old Arab boycott against doing business with Israelis, there is very little Israeli investment in Dubai. If this week's drop in the Dubai markets heralds a larger economic crisis in the Middle East, Israel may be the only country untouched by it.

Bro Stef Comments - The headline directly above I really like and here's why. Most of us saw the boycott on Israel by the Arabs as a negative thing, however, the fact that Israel was boycotted actually helped them to avert an economic disaster.

Anything in the hands of God can be positive when He is directing the events. The fact the God used what seemed to be a bad event and turned it to His people's favor only speaks to the scripture in Romans 8:28 that says, " And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."

Unbelieveable, but true. You won't believe what you read and see... A program proposed at the University of Minnesota would result in required examinations of teacher candidates on "white privilege" as well as "remedial re-education" for those who hold the "wrong" views, according to the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education.

The organization, which promotes civil liberties on the campuses of America's colleges and universities, has dispatched a letter to University of Minnesota President Robert Bruininks asking him to intervene to prevent the adoption of policies proposed in his College of Education and Human Development .

"The university's general counsel should be asked to comment as soon as possible," said the letter from Adam Kissel, an officer with The FIRE. "If the Race, Culture, Class, and Gender Task Group achieves its stated goals, the result will be political and ideological screening of applicants, remedial re-education for those with the 'wrong' views and values, [and] withholding of degrees from those upon whom the university's political reeducation efforts proved ineffective."

By any "non-totalitarian" standards, he wrote, the the plans being made so far by the school are "severely unjust and impermissibly intrude into matters of individual conscience."

Kissel wrote that it appears that the university "intends to redesign its admissions process so that it screens out people with the 'wrong' beliefs and values – those who either do not have sufficient 'cultural competence' or those who the college judges will not be able to be converted to the 'correct' beliefs and values even after remedial re-education."

The book of Daniel chapter 7 discusses the establishment of a "Global Governmental System" just prior to the return of the Messiah, Yeshua. I have been studying Prophecy for over 30 years and I can't believe what my ears are hearing. My older brother Gary and I were discussing this issue yesterday. We were talking about how just ten years ago you didn't hear much about a New World Order or a Global Government. However, over the last 24 months it seems that something in the spiritual realm has changed, now everyone is talking about a "Global" government as though it is just a fact of life and we are seeing the establishment of it as I write this.

Absolutely amazing and the scarry part of this, the world thinks this will solve our problems. God tells us in 1Thess 5:1-11, that when the word of the day is "Peace and Saftey" that's when destruction follows because men can not do what only God Himself can do. This world needs the Lord, not another politically motivated insane idea that's destined for failure!

Isaiah 2:5, 6: "For you have abandoned your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled with influences from the east, and they are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they strike bargains with the children of foreigners."

A new movement is a foot among Evangelical's. This movement, says Roger Oakland, will burn many leaders within the Evangelical movement. "The spiritual formation movement is widely promoted at colleges and seminaries as the latest and the greatest way to become a spiritual leader. It teaches people that this is how they can become more intimate with God and hear His voice. Even Christian leaders with long-standing reputations of teaching God's Word seem to be succumbing. In so doing, many Christian leaders are frivolously playing with fire, and the result will be thousands, probably millions, getting burned."

In 2008, Christianity Today online gave the term of spiritual formation credibility by interviewing the man most prominent in this movement, Richard Foster. They said to Foster, "Evangelicals have been reading your book, A Celebration of Discipline, for 30 years. What is the discipline you think we need to be exploring more at this point?" Foster then promoted "solitude." But over time we have learned that once again those in this movement are borrowing from Hinduism, Buddhism, and Catholic mystics to perfect a practice for the 21st century.

Promoters of Emergent thought say we are on the verge of an era that promises renewed spiritual awareness. "Spiritual disciplines" are being touted as the avenue to a spiritual reformation that will take Christianity to a new and higher level of spirituality, drawing all participants closer to God. The problem is that the means to attain this are not godly!

So while the term spiritual formation sounds like a good concept as we all want to grow spiritually, it comes with questionable baggage that is, once again, mystical and hardly sound. Ask questions of your church leadership or college staff. Don't be fearful or hesitant to challenge the issue by pointing out that much of this foundation has been laid by mystics and mystical Catholicism -- and throw in some Buddhism and Hinduism as well.

You can conclude that when the term spiritual formation comes up as it does more and more frequently, it should have a "buyer-beware" label on it. If you see your church bulletin announcing its arrival, don't just sit there -- do something. Confront your leadership because it could be that God may use this as an opportunity for you to minister to your church leadership.

It seems that we have entered into that period in time where even the people of God do not want to endure sound doctrine. Let's allow the word's of scripture to penetrate our souls and to allow the Spirit of God to move us to share these truths with those around us.

II Timothy 4:1-4:
I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at* His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

Erdogan promises Iran Turkish intelligence aid against Israel

Turkish PM and Iranian president: Close friends In the secret part of their talks in Tehran on Oct. 28, DEBKAfile's military sources reveal that Turkish prime minister Tayyep Recep Erdogan and Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad struck military cooperation deals which promised Iran Turkish military intelligence and air force assistance against a possible Israeli attack on its nuclear sites.

Their understandings have bound Turkish to pass intelligence data to Tehran on potential Israeli preparations for a strike and on US military movements in the Middle East for providing backup. Our sources report that the details finalized in meetings between the Turkish and Iranian military specialists in Istanbul Monday, Nov. 9, were due to be sealed by presidents Abdullah Gul and Ahmadinejad Tuesday. The Iranian president is to be in Turkey as guest of the Islamic Conference.

The Turkish prime minister has not only buried his country's longstanding military and intelligence ties with Israel but climbed aboard the adversarial axis confronting the Jewish state. Turkey has agreed to round out the forward surveillance outposts encircling Israel's borders: Hamas from the southwest in Gaza, Syria in the east, Lebanon in the north and now Turkey from the northwest. Tehran is banking on this encirclement for early warning of an approaching Israeli strike and any supportive American movements.

According to Western intelligence sources in Ankara, heads of the Turkish army objected to their government's strategic turn to Iran and the cutoff of its ties with Israel. However its pro-Islamic leaders, which have gradually eased the army out of policymaking, have forced them to accept operational ties with the military of an anti-Western Middle Eastern nation as being in the nation's best interests.

Erdogan's most compelling argument is that President Barack Obama's secret proposal for Iran to deposit 400 kilos of its enriched uranium in Turkey for safekeeping in charge of International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors, had elevated Turkey to an enhanced role as a broker between the US and Iran, sanctioned by Agency director Mohamed ElBaradei. If Turkey, a member of NATO, was able to gain the Iranian regime's trust, the Turkish prime minister maintained, it was only thanks to the military understandings he reached in Tehran.

DEBKAfile's military sources report that word of the Turkish-Iranian military collaboration deal landed with shocking effect in Washington and Jerusalem. Bro Stef Comments: The Bible is clear that in the Last Days the world will turn on Israel without exception. Anyone who has been reading our reports over the years knows that we have discussed this process in detail, therefore, we're not shocked by this report. Ezekiel 38 and 39 is clear as to what countries will come against Israel.

What is shocking is the speed at which countries who were Israel's strongest allies are turning against the Jewish State. It seems to me that as Obama has shown his dislike of Israel publicly, these countries, like Turkey, have followed his lead.

This is certainly a dangerous time for Israel and the world. Prayer is in order in a BIG way!

God says, “I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.”… “Yahweh your God will put all these curses on your enemies who hate and persecute you” … “The cup from Yahweh’s right hand is coming around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory." (Exodus 23:22; Deuteronomy 30:7; Habakkuk 2:16).

As the United States of America steps away from Israel and the Jewish people, through Obama, we are entering a very dangerous time in our history. The trends do not look good for us as a nation if things continue as they are going. My concern is this, if we continue down this path, God will have no choice but to judge us for our political position. Read Joel chapter 3 to see how this posture angers God. If you're like me you have wondered, "do I really know God?" "Does He really know me?" Welcome to being normal! The fact that you have asked the question is a good thing. You see, the people who are asking the question are the ones who are filled with God's spirit and therefore have a sensativity towards the Lord. If you don't know the Lord you don't ask the question, because you just don't care. The other thing is this, if God's spirit is working in your heart to bring you to the place where you want to know Him, it's at that point you'll care and ask the question.

It's kind of like a crazy person...they don't ask am I crazy? They don't ask because they don't have the mental capacity to call for the question. They just don't care.

Foundational Scripture:

Therefore hear the word of the Lord, you scornful men, Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem, Because you have said, "We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, It will not come to us, For we have made lies our refuge, And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves."

This year I have discussed the topic of the Antichrist quite a bit. I think I have done so because the signs are so obvious. He's in the wings, waiting for the curtain to rise and take center stage, and I don't want you or anyone else caught off guard by the events that are leading up to his entrance on planet earths political scene. The rise to power of Obama should be examined and studied by all Christians and Jews, so that we can better prepare those around us for what's coming, what's on the horizon. God has given us the perfect lab lesson and that is Obama's rise to the most powerful position in the world. How did this happen? What circumstances were at work that caused such a travesty? How could a man who has never run a business and who has not held down a job, outside of politics, been elected to the Presidency of The United States of America? That's what I want to examine in today's report.

First I want to lay the correct foundation as to who the Antichrist is and how he comes into political power. The I will draw your attention to the similarities between the Antichrist's power grab and Obama's. It's an eye opener:

Who he is:
2 Thessalonians 2:3-12: Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

A few things to point out here. The overwhelming theme is lying wonders, deception and the lie. The Antichrist will come to power through these means as the scripture above reveals to us. I found it interesting that when people were surveyed as to why they were voting for Obama they could not articulate their rationale. What they said overwhelmingly was we just like him and "think" he'll be right for America. If we rewind the news that was being pushed in the media, Obama was hailed as the come Messiah, people were overcome emotionally at his rally's and fainted, he had star appeal and the people were on an emotional high for sure and now, all that is fading as Obama doesn't produce on his promises. Yes, he is bringing "change," but, it's not the change people were anticipating and now, even some of the far left are regretting the vote they cast for Obama. The parallels between Obama and the Antichrist are uncanny. Daniel and our Lord tell us that when the Antichrist goes into the Temple of God and declares himself to be God, it's at that very moment the eye's of the people will be opened and they will know the huge mistake they made putting their trust in the devil. Very similar to what is happening with Obama now. The eye's of the people are being opened to the mistake that almost 50% of voting American's made. The people wanted God out of there lives and so God has given them a man that does not follow God's precepts.

How he comes to power:
Daniel 11:20-27: "There shall arise in his place one who imposes taxes on the glorious kingdom; but within a few days he shall be destroyed, but not in anger or in battle. And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue. With the force of a flood they shall be swept away from before him and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant. And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time. He shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the South with a great army. And the king of the South shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand, for they shall devise plans against him. Yes, those who eat of the portion of his delicacies shall destroy him; his army shall be swept away, and many shall fall down slain. Both these kings' hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time.

And so we have the perfect posturing of both the Antichrist and Obama, lies and deceit. The Bible points out two key words, peaceably and intrigue. The word "intrigue" is actually a very descriptive word. It means to conspire, fascinate, plot, deceive, scheme and trickery. The Antichrist will be a man who is so charismatic and full of personality and a great communicator, everyone will think he is God. Obama in his campaign never defined what change meant. He deliberately kept the tern vague and would not allow himself to be cornered into answering that question. Come to think about, the media never grilled him on it anyway. The point here is that Obama's change is a social/fascism style of government. His wife almost put his campaign into serious trouble when she let the cat out of the bag and announced that until now, she was not proud of this country. As people and reporters now begin looking into Obama and his associations, they're becoming disenchanted with him. Associations like, the Reverend Wright, Jones and more, all admitted to either following Black Liberation Theology, which is at war with God and Christ, or communists to the core. When Obama said change he never defined his version of change to mean, "let's dismantle the Democratic America and change it to a socialistic-fascist style of government" as seen by the government take over of the banks, auto industry and now healthcare. Amazing that Obama is the first President to install Czars to his administration who are admitted communists and his spokes person, Anita Dunn, believes that MAO, the Chinese dictator who slaughtered over 60 million of his own people, is someone she turns to for advice! So, as we can see, both political men, one now (Obama) and one to be revealed in the future will use similar tactics to deceive and manipulate the people into electing them their leaders. The study of Prophecy is important so that we, God's people are not caught off guard, but are aware of the times we are living in. Because of the days we live, it is crucial that we prayerfully consider all aspects of our lives and that we allow God to guide and lead our paths and decisions.

Their is a Master Plan that most politicians are aware of but, they do not talk about. The world is quickly moving towards a global style of government and below is the way the planet will be divided. Interestingly the Bible warned us about this thousands of years ago! Many believe that Obama wanted to be elected President and the power brokers behind him wanted this as well, only as a stepping stone to the ultimate prize, President of the Europe the EU. Look at what Henry Kissinger had to say, Kissinger: Obama primed to create 'New World Order' 'Policy guru says global upheaval presents 'great opportunity'. No one but God knows the future and we are not attempting to foretell the future, that would be sin. The Bible is clear to us, we are not to engage in fortune telling of any kind, however, what we are doing here is only examining the evidence and comparing this evidence to the written Word of God as revealed to us in Daniel, Joel, Zechariah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Matthew, Luke and Revelation and more. God's word is clear, there will be a one world order and we are seeing the establishment of it in our lifetimes.

Additionally, we now know that our President is not a friend of Israel's. If he were he would not support the division of Jerusalem, which by the way, will ultimately bring about World War 3. Jeremiah, Joel and Zechariah teach us that the world will be consumed and drunk over the issue of Jerusalem. When Jerusalem becomes divided and the nations of the world attempt to remove God's people from the land and from their capital, this is when God will come to Israel's rescue. We are on the eve of these events happening in our lifetimes.

Israel's UN Ambassador Gabriela Shalev said: “The Goldstone Report [on Israel’s war in Gaza] favors and legitimizes terrorism....It denies Israel's right to defend its citizens....It permits terrorists to victimize civilians, target the innocent, and use as human shields those it claims to defend."

Shalev accused the world of "doing nothing" about Hamas' smuggling of Iranian arms into Gaza, its launching of attacks from schools, mosques and hospitals, or its firing of 12,000 rockets against innocent Israeli civilians.

God says: “I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding people reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves … On that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume right and left all the surrounding peoples, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place.” (Zechariah 12:2-3, 6).

The United Nations already represents, in word, “all the nations of the earth gathered against Israel.” It is just a matter of time when that will be true in deed as well – and that time appears to be fast approaching. Jesus said, “When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:28). Even more exciting is the promise of the prophet, “Then Yahweh will go out and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle. On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives east of Jerusalem.” (Zechariah 14:3). Hallelujah, may “that day” come soon!

In conclusion...if Obama who is not qualified to be President, became President, how much easier will it be for the Antichrist to gain power and control the globe? That's what God wants us to learn from this. Once the Antichrist comes into power their is only 7 years to go before the return of Christ. The Obama laboratory experiment shows us just how close the wrap up is... God will put into power whom He wills for His own purposes. Because the world is prime for a global take over through deceitful and false peaceful means, God wants us all ready at any moment to meet Him face to face.
