How Many Browsers do You Use?
Often I need to use my browser (IE or Mozilla), but it is updating or performing some function; therefore I open a different one. Why limit yourself to only two? Different browsers also have different options depending upon your needs. Since I have several accounts for some websites I save all my log in information on each browser. For example, Firefox keeps all my personal websites accounts and passwords and IE is for my work sites. I use a third for general searches. I keep a minimum of four installed on each computer. One of my computers has 8 different browsers installed primarily for comparison. Firefox has plugins such as GreaseMonkey which allows downloading of Youtube videos.
What Browsers are Available? (Windows OS)
I found a list of browsers on Wikipedia and saw almost 40 different ones to choose from. The two most popular are Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Opera is another popular browser featuring zoom options and panels for browsing. Flock is a Mozilla based browser designed for social networking. It has social bookmarking tabs and bars for quick uploading and downloading of media. AOL Explorer is based on IE and has many similar features. It does have side tabs similar to Opera for quick linking to your features (faves, history..)
On my Linux computer, I have the following browsers installed: Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Mid-Browser, Galeon, Arora, SeaMonkey, Midori, and Mozilla (installed in Wine). Flock and Opera can also be installed on Linux platforms as well. For example, Mid-Browser is a very minimal browser that has very few features and tabs, but it is very quick as a result of this minimalist approach.
So check out some of these different web browsers and see if they suit your needs better than the pre-installed version on your computer.

Downloading
Downloading is greatly simplified with multipe browsers. Browsers download one file at a time. If you need to download several files and one site has a slow upload speed; it could take a while before you reach the second download. With multiple browsers, each download is handled independently of others; therefore you can download several files at a time. Usually, I have three browsers saving files and a fourth one open looking for the next potential downlad.
