Bruce Lee is the originator of the fighting style known as Jeet Kune Do. Jeet Kune Do translated means Way of the Intercepting Fist. Jeet Kune Do is a fighting art which uses freedom of movement and freedom from restrictions as it's primary focus.
Bruce Lee and Wing Chun Kung Fu
When Bruce Lee was around 14 years old, he got into a fight with some local neighborhood bully. It was this fight that showed Bruce Lee the way to Kung Fu. After Bruce Lee lost this fight, he was driven to learn how to protect himself. He sought out Master Yip Man and joined his school for Wing Chun Kung Fu. Bruce Lee was a Cha Cha champion and was very good on his feet and he was a very quick learner. Which made him a natural at Wing Chun. It wasn't long after he joined Wing Chun that Bruce Lee began easily beating the better students.

Bruce Lee is a household name. You may not have seen his movies, or even like him much, but you have for sure heard of who he is. Bruce Lee is a true icon from his era. He brought Martial Arts to the forefront in the early 70's. His name and legacy lives on today!
When did Bruce Lee Die
Bruce Lee died at a very young age of only 32 years old. He died on July 20th 1973 of cerebral edemia or swelling of the brain after he took a couple pills for a headache. He was taking a break from filming a movie when he complained of a headache, took the pills and went to lay down. He never woke back up. He is truly missed and will ever live on in the lives of many martial artists today.
