If your like me, chances are you have to wonder what the hell goes through Sasha Baren Cohens mind. After taking over the worlds attention with a Kazahkstani journalist who madly ramps through the states with little clue on anything, here he comes back crashing into our lives playing a super, uber, quasi-gay Asutrain fashion wannabe.

Perplexed? Sure. Try watching it, you might as well book in for therepy afterwards. Its crazy, wack and sure gets your belling rumbling with laughter.

While many pundits, myself included, never thought Baren Cohen could successfully trump the sideshow that was Borat, im pleased to report he has. Its funny that I find myself saying this, but yes, Bruno is good. Very very good. Infact, what makes it just so good is that with such a stiff act to follow, Baren Cohen has not only provided unique entertainment, hes silenced people who thought Borat was impossible to follow.

Yes, so enough of the rhetorical, analylitical jibber jabber, what was Bruno like? Here i go, the nets first dedicated Bruno review.....

Bruno is superficially like Borat, in which real folks co-star alongside the main event, and like Borat, real people are bewildered, astonished and experience drop jaw at regular stages, as this super-dork bounces around wildly irritating the shit out of everyone he comes accross.

Bruno, as you have read/heard is a gay Austrian fashion designer, who after having his career dry up in Austria, seeks the good life of stardom in America. His non stop stunt pulling attempts to enter the realms of celeb status provide idiotic and laughable entertainment, as he trys to seek his break.

Bruno tries all stunts from adopting a baby hollywood style, to trying to settle the middle east fury, all in the name of making himself known. When he finally reaches his dead end, he decides it is infact his own utter gayness thats holding his career back from taking off.

And utter gayness would probably the least appropriate and most under developed term for it. This Bruno is an absolute homo-fied, leather clad, tail gunning donut puncher of the highest order. The antics just leave you speechless. I even felt more embarrased for him than I did for Borat, if thats possible.

And what quickly becomes even more entertaining, is just how homophobic the USA is, and is portrayed as. Its unreal, and the way that Baren Cohen has discovered this core of unique homophobes, is really testiment to his huge skill as a lunatic entertainer worthy of alot of praise.

Do it to yourself, go and see Bruno. You may regret it, but on hindsight and reflection, you'll be glad you sat through the pain so you wont feel left out when the rest of the world laughs for another year at Cohens antics.
