Bubba Froths At the Mouth Again
54He Just Can't Help It
Did Bill Clinton just attack McCain as unstable.
Bill Clinton is pontificating on how well he knows Nelson Mandela at this Aspen Ideas Festival, in which Clinton's face looks lobster-red, and at one point he says "I'm probably one of the few people who's seen him mad." Oh brother. The whole thing comes off like something made on a public access channel. Anyway, out of nowhere he says, "Every living soul on this planet has some highly-justified anger. Everyone. If you know anybody who was a P.O.W. for any time, they can be going on for years and all of a sudden something will happen that will trigger all those bad memories."
Real subtle.
Was it an intentional swipe at John McCain and his famous temper? Well, you know that's how it's going to be interpreted. You know, it's amazing how he gets these digs in. Often they come after some long pontification about something else entirely, and then comes the swipe. He did it all during the primary season, as none of us need reminding. You might wanna listen to it and judge for yourself.

If I recall, it wasn't him exactly talking about the cigars, but I get it. Or was it him?
He should have stayed off the compain trail. His campaign for President was pretty messy, but he won and overall did the country good for 8 years. But he's sullied his legacy in my opinion.

Hill Country,
Bill Clinton always makes me laugh. I stopped taking him seriously the minute he started talking about cigars.
