1. An important factor when you start to plan your budget wedding is making sure that you know exactly how much money to have to spend and then stick to that budget amount. (tip #1). The reason why this is important is because it’s easy to say yes to everything without counting the cost. If you don’t stick to this money plan for your wedding, then you run the risk of financial stress and bills you cannot pay.
2. Another important money consideration for a budget wedding is where you get your outfits. It’s critical that you remember that you will probably only wear these clothes once. Ask your attendants to contribute to the clothes they will wear (after all they do get to keep them) or perhaps pick a themed wedding – fancy costumes are much cheaper than wedding attire.
3. You don’t have to spend a lot of money in order to have beautiful flowers for your wedding. All you need to do is plan carefully, order well in advance and not be too fussy by wanting flowers that are out of season. Just order bouquets without telling them it’s for a wedding and you’ll keep the costs down. You can add the wedding ribbons etc at home (more cheaply than a florist can)
4. Instead of complicating your wedding budget by wanting everything and not having enough money, try it this way: decide what is most important for you to enjoy the day and then find less expensive ways to have your dream wedding. In fact, if you think outside the square a little, then you will find that there are many ways to save money.
5. Have you considered holding the reception in your yard? It’s not as difficult as you might think. What you need to do is find an inexpensive catering company and perhaps a cheap marquee.
So if you really want to make sure you don’t blow the budget on your wedding, follow these tips to make sure you don’t over-spend and enjoy your budget wedding!
Good luck
