Ever the growing tourist spot, Buenos Aires continues to grow as tourist city year after year. Why? Because, in 2001, a sudden currency crash made Buenos Aires change from being the most expensive city in Latin America to now being one of the cheapest. There are tons of different things to do in the city---I used to live there! Buenos Aires is an incredible place, and I'm sure you will make the most of your stay there.

On this page, we are going to look at some a number of Buenos Aires cheap hotels. You will find the best hotel for you! We will look at hotels in different locations and areas around the city. The majority of these hotels are in San Telmo and the city center, because that is where the highest density of people/hotels are!

America Studios all suites Hotel Buenos Aires

This hotel lies in the city center, on Calle Uruguay, near to the Florida Street Market and the government buildings. It is located at Uruguay 847, and it is a 2 star hotel.

The cost for this hotel is just about $50/night. Each room is well adorned with a fridge, a kitchen, a coffee maker, and a TV.

Their phone number is (5411) 4322-1228. You can check out their Web site at   http://www.bestwesternembassy.com.ar/.

Hotel del Prado

Check out the Hotel del Prado! It's run specifically by its owners. It is located on calle paraguay, 2385, and it is only $10-15 per night! This hotel has 26 rooms, with 17 being ensuite and 11 that are no-ensuite. No ensuite means that there is one bathroom for every two rooms.

This hotel has double, triple and quadruple rooms, with:

  • Minibar
  • Telephone
  • Hair Dryer
  • Cable TV
  • Safety box
  • Fan
  • Room service

You can find out more information, and get reservations with them, from here.

The Circus Hostel and Hotel

This Hotel/Hostel is a great bang for your buck! While it is cheaper than some other accommodations (usually about $15/night), it is located centrally in San Telmo and has many great features! it is cheaper because it is a hostel, not a hotel, so you will have to share a room. However, as long as the quality of people are good, you'll have an amazing time in this hostel!

You can see more info here. The customer reviews are very good--most people give it 5/5 stars, and say they will be back. For different prices, you can get a double bed or a quadruple bed!

My personal favorite: Portal Del Sur

Portal del sure is a hostel located very centrally in the center of Buenos Aires. I love this hostel---I lived here for over a month. I very thoroughly recommend it.

It has an excellent breakfast, the people are nice, the travelers are generally the COOL variety, and the rooms are clean. In fact, their cleaning lady makes your bed every night! Where else does that happen for only $12/night?

Check out their web site at http://www.portaldelsurba.com.ar. As I said, this is an excellent place, and I can't recommend it enough.
