Building Better Relationships

How to have a countless amount of friends.

Just wanted to write about building relationships. Throughout my life I have seen many people fail at this daunting task. Building relationships is not an easy feat for some people.

Opening up your heart, especially as we get older, seems to get more and more difficult. As things happen in life, and you trust less, you don't open yourself up to others as much. Each time we are betrayed, we take a step back and say, "wait a minute, all I tried to do was help this person, and this is the thanks I get?"

This is one reason why I think it is difficult to build relationships with others. So many people are out there trying to scam you, or make a quick buck, and then once you buy, boom, bang, they are gone. Never to be seen or heard from again.

How does anyone expect to build a business with this kind of behavior. Well, I'd say that it is virtually impossible. When you tick one person off, you can be sure that there are 10 other people that know about it.

When you do right by someone though, believe me, there will be 10 people that know about that too. That is what keeps people coming back to you. It's not because of what you are selling that people want to know you. It is because of you that people want to know you.

If you are honest, hardworking, trustworthy, generous, and caring, it will pay off in the long run. Are you genuinely concerned with peoples well being? Granted there are those folks that will mistake your kindness for weakness. We have to pray for those people.

In my experience, trouble follows people like that everywhere they turn. Some people are looking to get whatever they can from whomever they can. That never lasts long though. When you are that way in your heart, people are on to you. People will stop helping you. Then you will find yourself all alone in this world.

If anyone agrees with what I've written here, I would love to hear your comments. There are a ton of good people in this world, that have a mission and a passion, I know because I have met many of them. Few, though, have a desire so strong, that they want to help many many more.

Till the next time! Keep on hubbing!!!!

I agree that as time goes by we do get to distrust people. Especially if they have sh...on us. But we have to believe that there are more good in this world than bad and think posititve....not negative. If we think negative then we are defeating the purpose of living. Thanks for sharing this hub.

It's amazing that when you work hard at being a good person, it gets easier and easier and how you then attract good people to you.
