Building On A Budget By Mike Dillard

I have been studying Internet Network Marketing strategies for some time now and there is a mountain of information out there. Some of it is good and some that is not so good, or at least, it didn't appeal to me anyway.

All the information I have gathered, particularly for Social Networking has helped me create a web presence very effectively and economically. However, having a lot of web content is one thing while having someone to share it with is another.

So perhaps, like me you are looking for a way to get your ideas out there without incurring a huge cost. This is where Building On A Budget by Mr. Mike Dillard has some traction.

I have bought everything Mike Dillard has put out so far and this one, "Building On A Budget" is the key piece of the puzzle as far as I'm concerned. Building on a Budget is of universal application. Sooner or later everyone runs out of a warm market and will need to seek a wider audience for their ideas.

Mr Dillard sets out 5 separate and distinct strategies that people can choose to concentrate on. He also suggests that starting with one idea or strategy and getting good at that one first is the preferred method.

In setting out these 5 strategies all the answers are not explicitly provided but the framework for each of these methods is outlined and anyone who wants to pursue the idea should not have too much trouble in putting the strategy into place.

In Mr Dillard's defence, the world is changing so fast that sometimes if the nitty gritty were specified it would be out of date as soon as the book went to print.

So what are these 5 ideas:

  1. Graigslist.org
  2. Video
  3. Press Releases
  4. Blogs
  5. Funded Proposals

So now that you can see the ideas above, you are probably none the wiser. There is a fair amount of explanation needed before you actually get "the penny to drop" so to speak with each of these strategies.

You may notice that most of these idea's do require some funds to operate but the whole idea behind the Building On A Budget book is to make these costs bearable.

One idea that I liked particularly is Mr Dillard tries to lift our thinking to the stage where we would be uncomfortable if we weren't spending $10,000 a month on advertising.

Can you imagine the cash flow you would be enjoying if you could spend $10,000 a month in advertising. It certainly challenges those from the "E" quadrant to lift their thinking.

I've demonstrated idea number 2 below in the video link. It's a video review of my web site. It's produced with a program called Jing, available at www.jinproject.com and is a bargain. You don't have to hassle with Video cameras, file conversion and editing and all the hassles. That's a hot tip for you.
