Building an online network marketing/MLM empire during a recession can and will be done by many this year alone and you can too.

What can an network marketing business offer you?

• Build at your own pace
• residual income through affiliate marketing

• you need to build only once

What does it take to build a business in a recession or time of economic downturn? It takes ingenuity and perserverance.

It takes the ability to adapt and change with the markets. And it takes a solid business foundation that will carry you through many days and years ahead regardless of the economy.

The financial bases of our economy is about to collaspe. These structures, in the past century, were built upon Greed, lies, and deception.

Any other business would not have survived as long because as ordinary people, our businesses have to have a strong foundation, truth, and value.

As stated above Home based businesses are a great hedge against a failing economy and a wise choice for the future.

According to Small Business Administration, home based businesses account for more than half of all businesses in the U.S.

They range from part-time to full-time. Telemarketers actually make up the bulk of home based businesses and then home office workers, that work after hours for their jobs.

If you are looking to start a home based business of your own keep in mind a few basic guidlines:

• You must be a self-starter
• Discipline yourself
• A Positive Attitude
• Willingness to learn
• Patience
• Time

Without these factors you may find yourself struggling and failing and that certainly is not the goal.

Then you may be thinking "where do I begin?" This is the greatest question of all.

During my time in network marketing I have come in contact with a few and I have found several that would allow me to grow my business and not someone elses.

The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing is a wonderful e-book written by Ann Sieg that spells out the lies that you have or are about to hear when coming into network marketing.

Beware of these lies. You will see them everywhere and they are just what you want to hear. But they don't produce success.

Remember the economy.....built on Greed, lies and deception.

• Everyone is your prospect!
• This really isn't sales. We just share products with people!
• Anyone can do this!
• We'll build your business for you!
• We have the best product ever!
• You just don't have enough belief!

Well as you can imagine not everyone wants their own business.

Business is always selling something mainly yourself.

Anyone can do this and the reason this is listed as a lie is that 97% of all that start their own network marketing business fails. Failure due to a lack of a true interest to succeed, dedication, and desire.

Remember this is work.....No one builds this for you.

Don't believe for a moment that just because you have a great product that it is going to sell itself. You must sell yourself first, then the product. And it is You that must believe in the product first in order to sell it.

And if the proven system is about buying leads, cold calling and chasing prospects , you want nothing to do with that.

The Renegade Network Marketer also written by Ann Sieg broke all the rules in letting the secrets out of the bag.

You may have heard that the reason for failure is because your "WHY" was not big enough. Well I can say for myself that I had enough "why... I just needed to know HOW."

Ann teaches how the days of buying leads and cold calling are over. These are the ways of the Old MLM businesses. The ones that have given the industry a bad name.

She teaches techniques that brings prospect to you, people that are truly interested in you first and your product second.
