Bumper Stickers and Road Rage

On Average, the possibility of you having a bumper sticker on your vehicle is in 1 in 3 per capita. You may be making a statement, supporting your child's school, bragging on your kid or supporting a candidate for office. It has been said by noted Psychologists that Bumper Stickers is a way of claiming your identity as well as "marking your territory". You are making a statement about your beliefs, your choice of sport, religion, political party and your opinion on drugs, abortion, and Saving the Earth. You may think it is a harmless way to announce your lifestyle, it is also the cause of a rising number cases of Road Rage.

Have you ever noticed during campaign time that bumper stickers are one of the best ways to "advertise" or support your favorite Politician? It may seem unfair, everyone has the right to express their opinion, a clever bumper sticker is a way to do it. Politicians love to pass out free bumper stickers, not only is it cheap advertising but once you plaster it on your car you can't help notice it. Unfortunatley, this causes Road Rage in lots of other drivers, especially when it is something they don't agree it.

Recently in Nebraska, an Anti-Obama bumper sticker caused so much chaos that it resulted in a 12 car pile up, two men seriously injured and vandalism to the car that proudly posted his opinion on the bumper of his car.

 If you have a strong desire to make inappropiate gestures about your Political Opinions, these are some that make that point very clear.  These type of Anit- or smart ass stickers can cause alot of problems.  Imagine sitting in traffic on a hot day reading these bumper stickers on the cars around you.  Mind you, it shouldn't cause a specific amount of road rage but it is understandable if you feel differently to want to give that person/persons an ugly hand gesture.  This is where the road rage begins. 

Everybody loves to brag about their kids. It is a natural instinct. Why it would bother other people I guess is some issue they have. Maybe their child didn't make the honor roll or they are not able to play sports. Due to that people also advertise ugly bumper stickers for those who have bragging rights. Constantly being bombarded with those bumper stickers can make one fell inadequate, angry, jealous and upset enough to tailgate the driver, hit him in the rear, or pass just scare them to death pretending to be Richard Petty. Which I guess suits them, getting angry because someone loves their child and wants everyone to know their accomplishments are kind of "petty".
