67How To Be A Super Organized Mom
Do you ever wonder how the so-called Super Moms just seem to have their lives all together? For the majority of busy moms, we never seem to be caught up know matter how good our intentions are. Do these Super Moms know something we do not? You bet they do! It is a little trick called organization. You too can become a Super Organized Mom by developing a few good habits.
You will not be able to change your habits all in one day. It will take some time to get organized and into a routine, but once you get it, you will save yourself a lot of time and stress. In order not to get overwhelmed, you need to take it one task at a time, this way you will not give up before you have even had the chance to start! Pick something easy to begin with to give your self the sense that you have actually accomplished something. By starting out easy, you will be motivated to continue on to the next project. Once you get everything in order, make a daily chore sheet and stick with it.
You have a house that is disorganized, where do you even begin to start. Clutter could be the one thing that keeps your home from looking as clean as you would like. You first need to get rid of things that have been lying around and piling up. Throw away junk mail and other miscellaneous papers that you do not need. Start with one room and get rid of anything that does not belong, put the items in a box to be put away later. Do this with every room in your home. Pile the boxes up in one spot and have other family members put their things away in the proper spots. This may seem like a daunting task, but going through closets and drawers and getting rid of things you no longer wear or use is a must. Store the unwanted items and have a garage sale or give them to charity. The less clutter you have, the more time you will have for yourself and your family.Going to the grocery store or shopping without being organized costs time and money. Prepare a shopping list and map out your stops. This will save you time, money and gas. There is nothing more frustrating than getting home from a shopping trip and realizing you forgot an important item and then you have to go back to the store again. Keeping lists of items you need as you run out on the refrigerator will help save your sanity and keep you from guessing or impulse shopping.
Cooking meals ahead of time is a real time saver. Pick one day a week where you prepare as many meals as you can. Put them in Tupperware or freezer bags and store them for later use. When you forget that tonight is soccer night, you will be glad you did. If you cannot prepare meals in advance, use the slow cooker. Almost any meal that can be prepared in the oven can be made in the Crock-pot. Put everything together in the morning, turn the slow cooker on low and forget about it.
You are a busy mom, not a maid. Divide up the household chores. Make chore charts for everyone including your small children. When everyone pitches in to do their part, it leaves more time for the family to do things together. It may seem overwhelming at first, but taking the time now to reorganize your home will make life run smoother for everyone and the whole family can have a home they can be proud of.
