Buy A Haunted Doll On EBAY
76Old Dolls With Spirit Attachments
I am a doll collector. I love dolls, all kinds of dolls. Dolls from my childhood time frame are my favorites ( 60's-70's ). I really love unique, old antique dolls, also. they have so much character.
I have been buying and selling dolls on ebay for about a year now. It is really fun. I enjoy it so much. I recently punched in old dolls ( instead of 60's dolls, like normal ) in ebay search and what I found really shocked me ! Among the list of antique dolls was a doll described as HAUNTED. I am very curious about the paranormal, so, of course, I clicked on it. The woman who was selling this doll described her doll as Haunted, very Active, likes to play tricks. She said she had recently found some of her Grandmother's ( who was a witch) belongings. Most of them were dolls. Each doll had a spirit attachment. She said her Grandmother left a journal which stated each doll's history. This particular doll held the spirit of a 22 year old woman. She said that the doll's eyes would move and sometimes you could see a ghostly woman figure roaming around the house. She said the spirit was active and liked to play tricks, like turning on and off lights, opening and shutting doors, moving furniture. She also, said the doll would be sitting in one place, then mysteriously be sitting in another spot. WOW !!! This is so creepy.
I am very interested in hauntings and spirits, but do I really want to invite one into my home ? I think I'd be freaked out all the time. If I ever did get "used" to it, I think it would annoy me hearing doors open and shut all the time. If the furniture was moved, I think I would have to have a little chat with the spirit. "Ok, That's about enough, Spirit ! My back hurts ! Now move it back, please, or I'll see if an exorcist can come for a little visit ! " Hahaha.
After reading about this one, I typed in Haunted dolls in ebay search. Wow ! There were so many haunted dolls for sale ! I was amazed ! I took the time to read about each one, and I have to admit, I was intrigued.
Most of the ebayers with these Spirited dolls had a similar story of how the dolls came into their possesion. Usually a Wiccan grandparent or Aunt or Mother. Some had references to Voodoo or Hoodoo. Some had Fairy spirit attachments. It was all very interesting.
Some of these ebay sellers might be just out to make a quick buck, a charlatan. Some may be the real deal.
One seller started her doll at the low price of .99, and stated, " Please buy this doll ! She's creepy and I'm tired of her shenanigins ! " Somebody bid on the doll and won.
I have to say the idea of it really peaks my curiousity. I keep looking up these dolls and reading about them. I'm way to chicken to bid on one. I can't imagine having a doll that follows me around ! In a way it's cool and in another it's just too creepy !!!! It reminds me of an old Twighlight Zone episode, or Night Gallery. Then there's always Chuckie. Now that's one UGLY doll !!!! Hahaha !
For now I think I'll just play it safe and read about them. O.k., now I'm getting paranoid, what's my old Raggedy Ann doing in the living room? I know she was in the dining room earlier ! Hey, what's going on here ! Eeeeeekkk !!!

Hi. You know what is worse than buying a haunted doll? I made an art doll that looked like and angel which I kept in the bedroom. One night the doll had a creepy expression so now I keep it somewhere else. :(

Hi rogue nestling.....I know heeheehee !
I have some pictures of African dolls.I couldn't upload them here.I have them in my crazy collections blogsite.I am still wondering if they are dolls or some kind of creepy show pieces.
Hi Abhinaya......sound cool I'd like to see them. Some dolls just look creepy, especially if they are old. Thanks for commenting.
manoharv....thanks.
Hi! I am an active Ebay buyer, and have seen a doll advertised as haunted. It too intrigued me, and I don't recall why I didn't bid on it. I find it fascinating! My concern would be, of course, that it was just a 'story' to capture your interest (which it does) and perhaps that's why I was reluctant to try to win it. But you have now piqued my interest in these items again, so I will do a search and see what I come up with.
Enjoyed your hub, thanks for sharing!

I love dolls but I wouldn't want a haunted doll. I would never sleep again.
Enjoyed your hub.
Hello, moonlake. I know what your saying. Too creepy, isn't it ? !
Hello, Christine!
I have recently purchased an alleged haunted doll on eBay and received it last Saturday. I do not believe that only antique or very old dolls can be haunted. Anyway, mine is supposed to be the host to a little girl who died at the tender age of 5. She is said to be loving and warm, occasionally giggles and calls out when she wants attention. It is also reported that she will sometimes change the position of her host doll or move her eyes. She has apparently been seen as orbs, a streak of light, or a shadowy or blurry apparition.
Needless to say, the whole description really intrigued me. I already have a doll collection - up to 26 or 27 so far - and thought, why not have one that is reputed to be different?
Since last Saturday there have been a few occurrences but they are inconclusive since they could all be coincidences. The doll is lovely and I am very happy to have purchased her. I will, if you want, keep you posted if anything out of the ordinary should happen.
I guess that I am not really nervous about what I might see and hear because I am fascinated by it... and we are not talking about an evil spirit, here! Now THAT I would never voluntarily welcome into my home!
I really enjoyed your blog! Take care!
Hello, Chantal.............WOW !!!! That is soooo interesting, PLEASE, Keep me posted.
Im selling one on ebay right now and trust me this thing is frikkin haunted. I have the whole story on there too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&
WOW ! Thanks Amanda................eeeekkkkk !
It has been a while since I wrote and I just wanted you to know that I don't mind admitting that I've been had. The doll that I purchased on eBay is a very nice addition to my collection, very pretty and in mint condition, but haunted??? Noooooooooooooooooooooooo... I thought so at first but I think that I was projecting.
I have to say that I'm disappointed but then I also think that it's better this way. I said that I was ready but I wonder if I really was.
Take care,
Chantel, thanks so much for getting back with me on that.
UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ................. CAN THEY HURT YOU
UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ................. CAN THEY HURT YOU
Hello, TETE. I'm not sure. I suppose it would depend on the spirit. If was an evil spirit, then yes, possibly. I, myself, would not want to take a chance. I don't think I would invite a spirit into my home, even though, it is interesting. Thanks for commenting.
neat hub, so much fodder for my writing. Thank you.
Just found this cool site, related to your hub. Have fun. http://weburbanist.com/2008/12/04/scary-creepy-man
Thank you, TKIMWRSVC
I am 16 but I have always loved dolls but I am especially n love with antique dolls and ventriloquest dummies so 1 Christmas I received an antique doll but the story is nobody knew who it was from everybody said it was from some1 else at that age I wouldnt hav cared who it was from I jus wanted 2 kno so I could ask whoever gav it to me where it came from The doll terrified me It always had this stern look lik I was going to be punished Its eyes would b closed and I'd walk over to open them and they'd spring open now I have her safely n my attic
EEEeekkk that is really creepy...thanks for commenting, Ashanti.
MY ADVICE.....DO NOT BUY IT! I know too many stories as well as my own experience with a doll that still scares me to this day....Whatever you do you do not want to invite that into your home. The mystery and intrigue will fade when when something scares the crap out of you, and by that time it will be hard to get rid of. They can even make you forget your supernatural experiences so that you will keep it. Trust me...don't do it!
Thanks for the heads up, jjrubio. I have never invested in one, because of the fact that i would not want to invite anything dark into my home. Thanks for commenting.
Hey, babe, it was this post I was referring to last night when I said I read one of your hubpage stories, but, I also remeber the "I know what you did" story from your blog. lolI love this story, because dolls have always creeped me out on some primal level. lmaoI have a resident who is really into African Art and goes to an African Art festival every year in Frederick, Maryland. His home is full of statues and wall hangings of all sizes, including lifesize, which look so real, I accidentally say "Oh hello" to the one just inside the front door(a life-size Civil War era slave woman) whenever I go there to repair something.I'm thinking about asking him if I can take some pictures of them and maybe write a post about it. lolHave a great day, sexy! I love you! xoxoxo
Hi, Charles, thank you for reading and commenting. That sounds so cool. Iwould love to see the African Slave woman. I came close to buying these two dolls on time they were huge. They looked so lifelike. I wanted them for that reason, but they were supposed to be haunted, and that creeped me out. lol. YIKES. I think it's very interesting. BTW, most of my doll collection has been sold, so don't worry...lol. Love ya, Baby. xxoxoxo Have a great day. 'll call ya later.
gosh..thats exactly what i did. i am intruiged by these haunted things..i read them all the time but i am afraid to bring one home..imagine seeing them in the middel of the night!!
LOL, Jenna. Exactly.. YIKES !!! LOl. Thanks for commenting.
I am so intrigued by these haunted dolls. I am tempted to buy one but don't wish to be ripped off. Anyone else had any experiences?
Hi, Paul. I have had one person say she bought a supposed haunted doll on ebay, and she got ripped off. However, I have had another person tell me that she bought one and it is scary and haunted.

When I was a Young boy, my dad was deep into spiritism. I've seen alot of wierd things happen. If I had a doll with a spirit attached to it. I would hope it was a happy and friendly spirit. :)
