Walt Disney snow globes represent really special memories for both children and the child inside all of us.  Everyone remembers going to the Disney classic movies as a child, and now they are being brought back one by one on DVD and on HD Disc.  The Disney snow globes capture the magical moments in each film and highlight the moment with the touches that only Disney can offer.

Many of the Disney snow globes are collector's editions that can only be purchased in limited edition, and are rare and hard to find.  My personal favorites are the magical castles from the Disney classic movies like Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Cinderella, but Disney has kept up creating snow globe collectibles for the newer movies such as Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin.

Each snow globe by Disney is a special work of art from Disney Studios that can bring back fond memories every time you look at it.  And there is just something about snow globes in general with the falling snowflakes swirling around inside that create a beautiful and magical moment in time.  It is so easy to get caught up watching the snowflakes swirl inside and imagine being in the scene yourself.

When it comes to Walt Disney we have to start always with the man (or mouse) of the hour, Mickey Mouse, his girl Minnie Mouse and their dog Pluto.  Classic Disney snow globes show all three characters in their classic Disney roles most notably the Sorcerer's Apprentice from Fantasia.  Mickey's magic got carried away with him in that film.

Mickey Mouse was famous long before any other Disney characters were created and therefore had many roles.  A lot of Mickey Mouse's adventures are captured in collectible snow globes by Disney Studios.

Disney's version of Cinderella is one of the older animated full length features that was produced by Walt Disney.  Many opportunities in the Cinderella story exist for beautiful snow globe moments, and Disney Studios has taken advantage of many of those to create Cinderella memories.

The sparkling castle, Cinderella's dance with Prince Charming, the pumpkin coach, and the scene where Cinderella's foot fits the glass slipper. Cinderella takes me back to my girlhood when I first saw the Disney Cinderella movie in the theater.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves was the first full length Disney animated feature movie, and it has also stood the test of time.  The classic story, the music, fight of good vs. evil, and the princess and the prince, not to mention the wonderful Disney rendition of the seven dwarves.

Many beautiful and rare snow globes from the scenes of the Snow White and Seven Dwarves movies can be found if you search for them.  eBay is the best place to look for some of the older and rarer editions of the Snow White snow globes.  Well worth the time to search.

It is really exciting to find unusual, rare, and one of a kind snow globes from Disney's collection.  There are snow globes that were made in very small editions, and some that have added features.  Some of the rare snow globes are painted by hand or hand carved.

Not all the Disney movies have had a full set of snow globes made, so finding them can be a real treasure hunt.  However hard the search, the rewards of finding rare Disney treasures for a special Christmas gift for a collector are high.
