The difference between choosing a fuel-efficient car or one that guzzles gas, will either save or cost you money over the life of the vehicle, which could be substantial. Don't buy more than one vehicle that you don't need your spending funds is adding up of what you're spending and how much you aren't saving. Some people loses a lot more than money like their homes or jobs because people don't look at the number of dollars that they have. Larger vehicles have bigger engines and less fuel efficient You can find the most fuel efficient car in any sizes that you're interested in.There are several online sites where you can compare fuel consumption ratings of any car.
Your choice of transmission can also affect the fuel efficiency of the vehicle. Driving a automatic with a overdrive, tachometer or shift indicator is better for fuel savings up to 10% of the costs. Everyone knows the smaller vehicles saves you lots of fuel but it doesn't mean that any larger vehicle is a bad choice. People should focus of more power that a vehicle has to give for performance of the running engine. A powerful engine provide excellent efficient for your fuel. I use octane fluids when I travel because it gives my car more boosting power when climbing over hills, such as mountains. This ideal slim my chances of burning more fuel when driving on hills or mountains. Some people don't do their home work when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. Any vehicle that has a front wheel drive it gives you better traction than a rear drive wheel. Another way to be a fuel saver, is by limiting the options you select for your car. For example power windows, seats and mirrors to air conditioning and seat warmers decrease fuel efficiency and cost you more in fuel consumption.
5 IDEALS TO MAKE YOUR CAR MORE EFFICIENT
- Crank up your car and drive off don't leave your car running for a while to warm up unless it absolutely necessary.
- Don't ride the brakes many drivers does this very often but if not riding the brakes it can increase your fuel efficiency by up to 30% this is a great tip.
- Turn the car off if you are stop anywhere for more than 10 minutes so stop burning if your vehicle is not in motion.
- This is tricky to some people may not understand do not turn your car off just a brief moment or less than 5 minutes. Because the gas that you used to crank up is more than you would burn in that short period of time.
- Mostly people don't think about their tires on the vehicle. Keep your tires at a proper pressure that your tires are assigned pressure. People wait til they see their tires are going flat. Check your tires every week or every other day depends on weather climate.

In the meantime gas prices will be going up or sometimes down, your vehicle is like a pet in your home feed your pet when its hungry don't abuse it.
BUYING A USED CAR THE SMART WAY
I always purchasing a used vehicle when I'm ready for something new to drive. Spending a little time now may save you serious money later. Check Consumer Reports on the safest cars out there. Looks are one thing, but don't ignore safety. Always take your vehicle to the repair shop for inspection. Used cars always need the oil change, tune up, and the compressor. The most important is always the thermostat for your cooling system needed to be replace. So you won't have no concern of over heating any time soon. Once the vehicle has been inspected, ask the mechanic for a written report with a cost estimate for all necessary repairs. Be sure the report includes the vehicle’s make, model and VIN#. You can use the written report estimated repairs to negotiate price of the vehicle to a dealing for a offer.Examine the car carefully yourself using an inspection checklist. You can find a checklist in many of the magazine articles, books and Internet sites that deal with buying a used car.Test drive the car under varied road conditions—on hills, highways, and in stop-and-go traffic.
Ask for the car’s maintenance record. If the owner doesn’t have copies, contact the dealership or repair shop where most of the work was done. They may share their files with you. Always do your homework for many reason of danger and your fundings. Also check the fuses in the fuse box to see what bad or in need for change. Sometimes it could little things like that can save you from taking your vehicle to the shop for repairs. You will be spending money for nothing all because you haven't thought the problem were just a fuse. A lot of people always fall for that trap for not thinking small when any part of the vehicle doesn't work.
Make Sure You Inspected The Car Or You Will Pay
Car buying scams
The most abused scam is the credit score scam. This is where the car dealership tells you that your credit score is lower then what it actually is in order to charge you a higher finance rate on your car loan. Always keep you a copy of your true credit scores because dealers don't care if your score good or bad this means that they can trap you. Another favorite scam is the forced warranty scam where the auto dealership will insist that in order to qualify for the car loan you will need to purchase a $2000 2 or 3 year warranty. The dealer markup fee is another phony fee that is made up just to pad the car dealership’s profit margin. Purchasing a new vehicle can be a scary one if you have lack of knowledge of interest rates it can be hard work to some people. Another scam deals with etching the vehicle’s VIN# on the window in some cases a dealership will try to make you pay for this added feature. Don't fall for this trick when purchasing a vehicle think like a seller not a buyer. If you have bad credit and still they will sell you a car. It's a possibility that the dealers will scam you to have you approve without a cosigner. Dealers feel very uncomfortable when a buyer comes to their lot educated about purchasing a vehicle.
The Buyers Commandments
Car Leasing For Beginners
Benfits of leasing
- Lower monthly payments
- More car, more often
- Minimum or no down payment
- Smaller sales tax bite in most states
- No used-car headaches at end
The most important element of a good lease deal is the price of the vehicle. Regardless of whether you buy or lease, you should always get the best possible price first. When leasing, this price becomes the capital cost, or "cap cost." Prior loan balances and fees may be added. Rebates, discounts, down payments, and trade-in credit are subtracted. The lower the capital cost, the lower your monthly payment. This is the only element of a lease deal that a dealer directly controls. Car leasing is extremely popular because it provides an attractive method of driving an automobile that you might not otherwise afford. It allows you to make lower monthly payments than with traditional car purchase loans. About one out of every four vehicles driven by automotive consumers in the United States are leased. Residual value is an estimate of a vehicle's wholesale value at the end of a lease term. The longer the lease, the smaller the residual value. Your lease payment is primarily determined by the difference between cap cost and residual value, which is the amount that the value of the vehicle depreciates during the lease. The higher the residual value, the lower the lease cost.

Great first hub! I particularly like the slightly walleyed expression on the face of the Brahma powering the vehicle in your first photo (above). Bet that critter gets better mileage than would a lazy old Hereford or Angus, for sure.
I also appreciate your mention of a tachometer. We own two vehicles, and I use the tach extensively, no matter which machine (Subaru Outback or GMC pickup) I'm driving at the moment.
