Buying a new mobile phone
74Technology has changed the way we humans have lived, have a look around and you will see that the mobile communications has taken the world in its storm. Just a couple of years ago these mobile phones were a symbol of luxury and afforded by the elite class. However now it is an essential gadget in everyday life, I know I cannot live without one. Life would be boring and resentful without the smses and calling wouldn’t it.
Do you ever look back and imagine how we could manage to live without them. However what should your criteria be while choosing a mobile phone? We often are looking for the best deal possible and how do we choose between the different networks from your country.
Mobile phones have been one of the major grosser of industry today. The cell phones are released at such a fast pace that by the time you actually decide on one and buy it the better model is out in the market. Buying a mobile phone is one of the overwhelming decisions and you generally take some time to make the final choice. Here is a guide to help you find the right mobile phone deal
Life with mobile phones
For many teenagers and younger kids, the only reason why they need a mobile phone is to utilize to the maximum the sms limit. I sometimes always wonder how fast can they type, I had read a story about a teenager who smsed every minute, it amused me to quite an extent. Cell phones help in emergency situations; sometimes it becomes really life critical to use the phone. It ensures traceability and is very convenient some may look this as a hindrance as my brother gets irritated every time my mom calls him to know his whereabouts. But in the bigger picture they have made our lives a lot simpler. They are our personal assistants; you can practically run your entire business through your mobile phone.
When deciding which mobile to choose, always ask yourself a question what is the prime person why you need a new mobile phone for. If the current using one is doing the trick and you are just fancying a new feature it is advisable not to waste money. In times of recession now remember the golden rule money not spent is money earned. There are majorly two classes of mobile users, the first class is one that only buy for the basic functionality of the phone i.e. calling and messaging. The other extreme is who buy it so that they can be a mobile business in the literal terms, for business purposes. The professionals who cannot do without MS office or internet

Determine the main purpose of wanting a mobile phone?
Here are some important pointers that may help you-
- Are you a careless person, ya right if you handle things roughly then the sleekest mobiles are certainly not meant for you? It is basic common sense that you will buy yourself a flap phone and it will be in two pieces before you could imagine.
- How much are you planning to use the phone, if the entire work is on the phone then better think of battery backup it provides?
- Do your group of friends have a same network as you intend to buy? I know when I was in London there were some great deals on vodaphone for friend to friend calling.
- Some networks have great service but ask yourself is it good for you, I know airtel is preferred here in India but idea has better plan and coverage that worked for me.
- Added features means added costs, do your research on the best that is in the market to know that you make the optimal choice.

Four criteria that affect your choice:
- ·Basic functionality smses and email: If so you can get the most basic handset while still having access to text messaging, voicemail. Nokia had the major share of mobiles phones in India, primarily due to the reason they catered to the middle class tastes with affordable priced handsets. This was the scenario a couple of years back but Reliance group has changed the mobile industry for Indians today. Almost every person has a mobile phone as it is very much affordable now.
- Speaker phone and headset: Many may differ on this one, I personally have headset but don’t use it. My husband cannot live without it, being a software programmer they are constantly busy and need them to attend to their work whilst talking on the phone. Now that’s what I call multitasking.
- Camera:Yes this is the current rage among youngsters and teens likewise, they need to have a mobile phone with a camera of at least 2 mega pixel camera as more is unaffordable to many. If you're big on your camera functionality and a picture geek, you might also want your phone to have a decent flash feature, and good video capabilities. Life is unpredictable if you were to bump into some celebrity then flash and you can take a picture and keep it for time sake.
- Internet browser and Wifi: If you were to go in the suburbs still not many know what internet is here in India. But life in metros cannot survive without being connected on the internet. Blackberry and iphones have taken internet to a whole new level. Many today want to have this as the prime feature for their mobile phones. So check if it has a decent browser.
Mobiles are addictive
A sincere advice when it comes to mobiles, do not get attached to them I really mean it. I guess the fact that life can take anything away just without reason may hurt a lot. I happen to lose my Motorola Razr mobile in primark store in London and have not got over that still now. Every phone we purchased after that is not cutting it for me, have a Nokia n70. I have found on internet a new feature called to back up the mobile phone now that is interesting. Would have done that at least I would not lose all the mobile numbers of the friends I met there.

I don't know how I ever managed without my mobile. Very good points to choose a new one. I do not use many of the utilities so for me it would be the looks that counts.
