This Grayson guy down in Florida is a remarkable piece of something. Somehow, he managed to live after some kind of a traumatic event. Maybe he was pushed off a cliff. Or, maybe he was pushed under the bus.

Something happened along his earthly journey that every single patriotic American should not wish on their worst enemy. No, I take that back to rephrase. Forget the worst enemy. Every patriotic American should feel fortunate that what must have happened to Alan Grayson didn’t happen to them.

My dilemma is that I don’t know what happened to him and that in itself makes it difficult to talk about him. Doesn’t matter though because I like talking about things I know nothing about. Makes me feel intellectual.

But, as I speculate further, I wonder if the democrat from Florida has a head defect. I say this because he doesn’t look like damaged goods physically. Must be a head defect. If so, it might be manageable for a lot of people with head defects function in perfect harmony in this complex society as long as they take their medication. I know from personal experience.

Am I saying the man who represents Florida’s eighth congressional district is an un-medicated nut running the streets of Washington? Gosh no, I’m not saying that although he might be. What I am saying is his actions strongly suggest he is a nut. I’ll go further and make the bold statement he is a congressional whore.

I hope you understand that I use the word “whore” in the sense of its second definition at Yahoo Education:

A person considered as having compromised principles for personal gain.

I want to explain my use of the word so nobody can accuse me of claiming the Honorable (in a pigs eye) Congressman Grayson makes a little money on the side by selling his body. I fear that without this explanation, I might find myself in the unenviable position of high-stepping my way out of a disastrous situation as did Mr. Grayson.

My gosh, did you hear what that bold and brave man said? Talking about Linda Robertson, an adviser to Fed Chairman Ben Bernake, Grayson had sufficient insight to call her a K street whore. Read

Mr. Grayson defended his statement but finally backed down and apologized due to heat applied by his congressional buddies. From his website:

“I offer my sincere apology to Linda Robertson, an adviser to Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke. I did not intend to use a term that is often, and correctly, seen as disrespectful of women.

“This characterization of Ms. Robertson, made during a radio interview last month in the context of the debate over whether the Federal Reserve should be independently audited, was inappropriate, and I apologize.”

It’s my guess Mr. Grayson got what he wanted - publicity - and the apology came from a foot or so below his heart. If not for a history of popping off, I could easily say something like, “So what. One mistake and the guy apologized so get over it.”

Well, it isn’t one mistake. Do an internet search and you will find this loose-mouth guy seems to enjoy making controversial statements. Keywords “alan grayson republicans” will work fine.

I didn’t expect Barack Obama to say Mr. Grayson acted stupidly after the Sgt. Crowley and Professor Gates incident. But neither did I think our acting-president would have the gall to say, in a different context, that Grayson is an outstanding member of Congress. Read

Just goes to show that, at least in two cases, silence is golden.

Except when I talk.
