Check this out !

Need a car ?? Try these ex-government car auctions and seized car auctions which are found in every state...including California of course!

The savings are huge, sometimes up to 90%. So when times are tough guys and dolls, you might want to look into this option and get some great value.

Some of them are great for a second car or runabout, while others are top quality and extreme value. You will also come accross luxury cars ! More often than not the cars are only slightly used and working extremely well. You can always bring along a mechanic with you to the car auction. This will help ensure that you are getting your monies worth.

You may also be pleasantly suprised at how few other bidders there are to compete with at these auctions. Or , Murphys Law may apply and the auction car you are after is hotly persued by a crowd of fellow bidders. If this is the case then try not to get caught up in the emotion of the bidding. Have a pre-set limit to what you will spend and consider to be great value.

Be prepared for the paperwork as well. This will be done at the car auction. Be sure to take along ID and banking details. In some cases it may cost you money to get all the paperwork in order.

Four wheel drives, sports cars , sedans and wagons...

Good luck !

CAR AUCTION SAVINGS..EXAMPLE:

Vehicle: 2003 Acura CL 3.2 Type-S w/Navigation
Book Value (Dealer Retail): $24,450
Purchase Price: $2,850 at Online Government Auto Auction

Sold As: Government Seized Vehicle

Awesome and GR8 Value !

I'm in the car business in California. I have not heard anything about new cars being auctioned off, at least not to the public.

When a dealership shuts down, the manufacturer takes the new cars back. They will then sell them to other dealers that are still in business. They MIGHT auction them to these dealers, but not to the public. That would destroy their other dealers and their brand, as who would shop at their dealers anymore, if people could just "bid" on the brand new cars at auction? http://www.fowlersauctionsmelb.com/

The more I think about it, the more I am sure that there is no such public auction.
