Hello and welcome to the Cheap Vegas Hotels site and thanks for visiting! My wish here is to include a number of edited hotel reviews - hotels based obviously in Las Vegas, Nevada - including some cheap hotels in Las Vegas on the strip area, so that you, the visitor, can get a good idea as to which hotels are good value for money and which hotels are maybe not so good value for your hard earned buck.

There will be some bias and some reviews that are perhaps unfair too - either overly-harsh or otherwise, but I will try to provide you with a fairly well balanced overview of each LasVegas hotel. Which ever hotel you choose in the end I wish you all the best with your stay there!

The Staybridge Suites Las Vegas is perhaps not the cheapest Vegas hotel but it is one of the best according to the amount of positive feedback it has been getting. Unfortunately it would be senseless to include the room rates in this report as they vary widely throughout the year and depending on room size of course.

One reviewer, which I picked at random, had this to say (edited to avoid copyright):

Myself and my husband and our two sons have just returned from our stay in Las Vegas in the Staybridge Suites Las Vegas where we spent 10 nights.We booked this hotel specifically due to the really good reviews it has had and were certainly not disappointed either.

We booked a suite - not exactly one of the cheap Vegas suites - but it was good value for us as we used the pull out couch for our sons to sleep. The suite's kitchen had all we needed and was of good size with a table for 4. The furniture was tasteful and comfortable as was the bed. The room was very clean and also quiet, even though the hotel was extremely busy.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

The food was good too, and plentiful for us.

Over all, the Staybridge Las Vegas is not the place to stay if you want the absolute quintessential experience with all the bells and whistles thrown in. There are no slot machines so this place is really in complete contrast to what you would expect of cheap Vegas hotels on the Strip. Over all though its a highly pleasant place to spend some time and we will be coming back again, guaranteed!

The Main Street Station Hotel is one of the cheap Las Vegas hotel on strip with a very high user rating indeed so its well worth checking out if you are in town for the casinos.

One customer had this to say about the Main Street Station Hotel:

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in July 2009. We never stayed downtown before but due to our other travel arrangements staying here in this very economical hotel seemed wise.

We wanted a quiet room which is precisely what we got even though we could see all the lights from the strip and knew that trains ran close by too.

The room was very clean and everything worked. Only downside was that the bathroom was a little small and a bit old looking, but still clean all the same.

We had a number of buffets including a champagne brunch, which was really good. We had a coupon but it would have been cheap regardless. The champagne was brought to us in little plastic cups which was strange as everything else is upscale. No big deal however.

We loved the casino!

Over all we had a lovely stay in this one of the cheap hotels on Las Vegas strip. Nice rooms, good customer service, great casino, fine food. We will definitely come here again and stay for longer the next time!

The California Hotel although not THE cheapest of cheap hotels in Las Vegas strip is still very affordable and offers up good reviews by its previous customers too. Here is one edited review for example that I chose at random to write up:

The hotel room was very spacious, clean and very quiet too, being one of the cheap Las Vegas hotels on the strip (or at least very near) this is surprising that it is so quiet.

The decor throughout is Hawaiian style and although you may think this to be tacky - not at all - its very tasteful. Bed was very comfy.

Staff friendly and helpful.

There are a number of restaurants and snack bars in the hotel and although we only ate in one of them the food was good and not at all pricey.

On the second floor of the hotel there are a number of shops, some of which are open 24 hours. One of them sells Lamberts ice cream - yummy! There is also an arcade there.

The bridge from this hotel goes over the road to the sister casino - Main Street Station - the gambling there is fun and friendly and there is a great pub too that serves real nice beers.

Last words - we've stayed a number of places downtown but from now on this one of the cheap hotels Las Vegas strip probably will be our first choice of hotel every time!

The Golden Gate Hotel and Casino is among the very cheapest Vegas Hotels and as such is reputed to be amongst the best value for money for a cheap Vegas package. This is what one customer had to say about the hotel and casino:

I stayed here during my travels around the US. In general I found the Golden Gate Hotel very nice - the ipod dock and flat screen tv were welcome additions; the rooms always cleaned to high standards. The room was a bit small compared to the normal US hotel standards but for the price this was not an issue.

If you come here for the Strip then its a little far for comfort but the bus service is super with one available every 10 minutes. However, it can get stuck in traffic and can take a long time to reach your destination.

The hotel is located on Fremont Street which is a great place in itself. The free shows were fun and the casinos much cheaper than the Strip, plus lots of cheap buffets around, although the meals in the hotel were huge so not much need for anything else to eat! Also lots of half price tickets for big shows in the heart of Las Vegas were being sold on Fremont street too.

So, although its not quite got the same glamor and glitz as the big Las Vegas hotels, its a great cheap Vegas package and a great cheap Vegas hotel - cheap rooms, friendly staff and lots of cheap casinos close by. Highly recommended!
