A FUN MEAL !!

CHRISTMAS IN PHILADELPHIA

I know...... too early for Christmas? Baaaa Hum Bug? Well It is never too early to be prepared. This is a fun and easy receipe, I love, Christmas, even though it has become a financial burden to most...... I think if we just went back to the basics of Family, Friends and Food (the 3 f'S ) Oh, and of course lights! We all would be a lot happier. Well here is a fun Meal that you all know, with a little Christmas twist. All of us know what a Philadelphia Cheese Steak Sandwich is. Well let's not kick it......(that is mean) let's just step it up a notch..........

If you want to slow cook a tenderloin roast and make it with that...... it is delicious and you have the drippings to make a wonderful dipping gravy.

If not, Go to the Deli Department at your local grocery, Buy Kretchmeir or Itailian or which ever Roast Beef you like best... Ask for a sample, they will let you try them. Buy Hoagie Rolls or you can make it with the Fresh French Bread (Lrg. Loaf) Buy at least 2 lb. so you can make the sandwich thick. This feeds a family of 4.

You will need :
4 to 6 Hoagie Rolls
2 lbs. of Roast Beef
1 Green Bell Pepper
1 Red Bell Pepper
1 Yellow Bell Pepper (optional)
1 lrg. yellow onion
2 Tbs. of Butter or Margarine
sliced Mozzerella cheese
sliced provalone cheese

Shredded Mozzerella about 1 cup (Add to beef mixture after
cooked: then mix)

Spices:
I don't measure...sorry. I just know by taste. (If you don't have
any cooking experience hold out your hand and shake a bit out of
each ingredient and taste it. This will give you a better idea
of what flavor each spice has... and you can decide your
preference for the amount of seasoning from this technique.
(I didn't figure this out till my Grandma told me... I would
just wing it. WOW those were pretty bad meals!)

A Dash of:
Salt
Pepper
Cumin
garlic
Worchestershire

Thinly slice all bell pepper and onion (set a side) Put 1 tbs.
of butter in pan over med. heat and melt. Sautee onions and bell
pepper at same time with spices below until onion is translucent
Add in Roast Beef and mix cook only until Beef is warm. Turn off
heat.

I like to melt a little butter for a couple of
seconds in the microwave with just a pinch of garlic. then I
take the Hoagie's cut them in half and hull them out. I brush the
inside with the garlic and butter mixture (make sure you don't
put too much garlic in the butter or it will throw off the
taste)
I place on the top side of the Hoagie, Mozzerella slices to cover
and on the bottom half of the hoagie provalone. set oven on
Broil.. Put the hoagie halfs in and watch carefully for the
cheese to start bubbling. (Pull out) and turn oven down to 300
degrees.

Take spoonfuls of Beef and cheese mixture and put in hoagie
rolls put hoagie halfs together and wrap in tin foil. Place
wrapped hoagie's in oven and let heat about 10 to 15 min.
unwrap and EAT!

It is almost like Santa came and left a present in your mouth!

WOW! I just proof read my receipe, and got to the end..... I
am still laughing because that didn't come out right.. I am
however compelled to leave it, as my sense of humor won't allow
it to be deleted. Sorry if anyone finds it offensive.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
