What does it really mean to celebrate christmas? To some it is a period of holiday where families will gather together, eat sumptious meals and make merry. To others it is simply a period of shopping(i mean shopping till the shopping mall closes). But to some it is just a period of feeling sad and broken hearted. Why is this so?

There are so many trouble spot around the world people are dying everyday through terrorism, bomblast, diseases and most unfortunately hunger.There are so many children around the world working millions of miles to school most of them barefooted.Some will sit around watching other making merry, some parents may not even be able to provide housing for their family this period and some live in mansions.

Bush cited the same reasons that led him to veto a version of the bill on Oct. 3 -- that it raised cigarette taxes and provided coverage for children of middle-class families instead of focusing on the working poor'' The washington post.

Dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with having money and living in mansions but can you tell me if you can stand around and not give a helping hand to the less previledge? We can blame no one for the suicide bombers, but what can we do about the innocent lives being taken.George Bush will celebrate the holiday with members of his family in fanfares, pleasure and security, likewise all the leaders of the world. but can you believe that they are all responsible for the chaos around the world today,so why should you expect him(Bush) to care about the children, he does not no what poverty means and that this(insurance) may be the only christmas present some children will receive this period.y.None of these leaders can point to a selfless act they have perform till date,even the fight against terror is a fight for the control of the resources around the world.

Many soldiers have died for this unending war, many will still die even on christmas day, what can we do to these things. Parents should come together and demand for the return of their children in the army.War is not the answer to the problem of the world

Christmas to me simply means a period of marking the birth of Jesus the saviour of the world, a period of love and happiness.But can we truly be happy when people around the world are suffering?

I really do wonder.
