Find out how many hours of clinical practice you will be required to put in. As well, get a run-down of the course of study. Is there more emphasis put on one are over others? Visit the school and request a tour of the classrooms and other facilities. Take careful notes about what is offered. Take photos if you can. Interview a few of the teachers if you can. Get an overall feel for the school and go with your gut feelings.

Ask for references from the school. It is helpful to talk to other students who have taken the CNA nursing program at the school and see what they think. Did they find a job in their field? Were they well-prepared for the job? Also, talk to local hospitals and other medical organizations to find out the reputation of the school you are considering. Is there another school that they hire from more readily than the one you are considering?
