Now we're all familiar with the BCS, at least that's what I think it's called, well everyone except for Joe Paterno.  And he has a very good reason for not even really knowing what the Thing IS called...I personally call it Garbage!  It seems year in and year out that analysts, fans, coaches, players, and everyone else in the entire nation seem to have a problem with the final two teams that get selected (unless you are a fan of one of those 2 teams, usually).  And rightfully so.  The system is based on computer rankings...so we now have a computer ranking system that determines who the best 2 teams in the nation are...and they don't even watch a single game all year.  Awesome!  When will the money-hungry college Presidents realize that there would be WAY more lucrative deals with a playoff system instead of just one stinkin' game?!  College baseketball does it...College baseball has the College World Series...and compared to regular season games, the RATINGS ARE THROUGH THE ROOF!! Especially the NCAA Basketball Tournament.  If you start at the sweet sixteen and check out the stats from years past from the actual ratings of these games, it's absolutely ridiculous how many people watch these games.  And not only in the US of A, it's tons of people worldwide watching our sporting events.  I mean think about it...in Division I football you have your conference championship games...and then an Entire Month with Abolutely NOTHING going on, other than teams losing their timing and conditioning to a certain extent, which makes for Less Entertaining Bowl games all around!  Could you imagine the excitement a "Sweet 16 of College Football" would bring?!  It would be Nuts.  And imagine the ratings.  Imagine the fun of being at one of the first college football playoff games Ever in Person.  Imagine the Memories.  Imagine the Matchups you would get to see.  Something you would Never get to see in the regular season.  The Powerhouses matching up against the Mid-Majors, with a chance to get knocked off by the little guy.  The little guy actually having the punchers chance at sneaking into the 16th ranking position, only to play the "best" team in all of college football...and BEAT THEM!  Fans of the Independent schools, the smaller conferences, heck even the Big East and Pac 10 with a Legit shot at winning a National Title if they lost a bad one somewhere along in the season.  It would be so fun that I think many of us die hard college football fans might just enter cardiac-arrest the day the announcement was made that there Would be a playoff, much less actually watching our teams play in these games!!  One day maybe we'll get it...but it sure doesnt seem that way as of now...but we can always keep our fingers crossed.  It's simply absurb and unfair to some teams that even if they were to go undefeated they have absolutely nothing to play for after the regular season, other than playing in the Toilet Bowl which might not even be Nationally Televised.  C'mon folks...let's get this thing going, and find a way to put an end to the BS....errr....BCS as we know it!!!
