This is very difficult to talk about. Although it is something that more people should be aware of. This is a Lung Disease that is emphysema and bronchitis.This is a deadly lung disease caused from smoking. How do I know? My mother had COPD and she passed away this year from smoking for many years. She also developed in the 2nd stage lung cancer and bone cancer. Alot of us smokers dont realize the effects smoking has on us until it hits home. There are 3 stages of COPD

Stage one:

Experience breathlessness only during high-energy activities (like exercise)

Cough occasionally .

Stage two:

Become breathless during daily activities (like climbing stairs)

Experience breathlessness that makes you less active

Cough more often as the disease progresses

Stage three:

Be constantly breathless at rest

Need oxygen (if more severe)

Become incapacitated and unable to perform simple activities

Cough even more frequently (often with mucus or phlegm)

I want people to be aware of this. So that if your thinking about quitting smoking please do. It is a very painful way to live your life. Stress is a big factor to smoking and so is addiction. There are more ways to quit verses the older decades before. When it comes down to it, the biggest thing is will power. We have one thing that people didnt have in the past decades, and that is the internet, new products, support groups, and knowledge.
