Big Banks Scuttle Low Cost Student Loans

The New York Times reports 4-15-07 that big lenders including Sallie Mae and Bank of America, in effect, bribed universities not to include lower cost loans in financial aid packages offered to students. Indiana University, University of Virginia and others play ball. The result: higher cost student loans.
