The annual lowrider event in Irvine was held on June 29, 2008. This was on a Sunday and started around 9am and ended at 5pm. I arived around noon and took a leisurely walk around the grounds taking photos.

The California Truck Jamboree Plus focuses on the lowrider car segment of the market. If you're looking for girlie photos, this is not the event for you. This lowrider show is focused on the cars. Additional "insights" can be read at autoshowevents.

Car clubs attending were Nokturnal, Still Tippin', Head Twister's, Ballerz Inc. and Street Clownin' to name a few.

Some of the events appearing at the show was the monster truck - Shocker that literally stomped on junk yard cars and a motorcycle exhibition. There was a few more, but I missed out on them because I was eating some barbeque, drinking, or just walking around taking some pictures.

The food was pretty good. The barbeque I had was pretty tasty. The pricing of the drinks was not consistent. I paid $1 dollar for a Sprite with my BBQ. However, earlier, far from the gate and away from the food court, I bought a bottle of water for $3 bucks.

The day was pretty good - sunny and fair. There wasn't a lot of photographers around. The crowd was mellow, as beer was being served.

In regards to security, Irvine Police Department set up a mobile headquarters in front of the gate and had officers going around, however, the show had more yellow shirt volunteers walking around the show. Verdict? Top notch security.

Overall, it was a pretty good show! It could have been better with a hot sweet bikini contest... well, any event can be better with a bikini contest!
