The latest release in the Call of Duty series Call of duty 4 is about to be released on the 4th November. This in itself I find interesting as you would think they would wait until a week before Xmas but what do I know!

I feel sorry for the parents who have to put up with their kids begging to get it before Xmas! Anyway enough of that i guess you want to know about the game right!

The makers claim they have taken the cinematic action to an even greater level than in Call of duty 3 which is pretty remarkable if any of you have played it. The byline is Modern Warfare so from that you realize that Call Of Duty 4 is set in the modern day complete with all the modern weaponry.

Every weapon you have heard of is in this game and some you haven't and you are transported around the world to all the major incidents, some real and some imagined, although this day and age who knows right.

You play either as a US Marine or as a Brit SAS operative. The complex game play leaves the other similar games in this genre standing it really is way beyond anything else out there. I have seen a lot of previews andclips and it really does look amazing. The high tech weapons and gadgets are excellent and you also get complex air land and see support which you can co-ordinate to your hearts content.

Lastly apparently they have included a phenomenal multi player option enabling you to get online with your buddies and save the world together, always a good bonding exercise. It is being released on Xbox 360, PS 3 and even PC if anyone still plays games on computers these days!

My BF's son has been banging on about this game for months. I'm not sure why they would release it a month before Xmas, why not release it just before so kids wouldn't be demanding it early, poor parents!

In the game you play as both a US marine and SAS operative not either. Also the gamplay really hasn't changed much since Call of Duty 2 the health system is the same and the weapons are different but they handle just like the previous titles . Even though Call of Duty 4 isn't completely innovative it is still the best game out this year.

Call of Duty is a really fun game. I'm not a HUGE gamer, but I actually like this one. :)

I prefer to use custom classes than the preset classes they give you at the start. I usually play with a silenced P90.
