The minimum system requirements for Modern Warfare 2 were released by InfinityWard on 10th November:

Please bear in mind that these are the minimum requirements which means that you would only be able to play at low resolution!

The long-awaited sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is finally available on the shelves of every gaming store! Infinity Ward released Modern Wardare 2 on 10th Novemver 2009. The game, which was already listed 1st in pre-orders sales ever, has recorded record sales on its first day for a total of 4.7 million copies!! This shouldn't come as a surprise for a game which is in the lead for the Game of the Year Award!!

The information about the new release regarding the changes and improvements made on the very successful COD4. Below is a list of information that has been confirmed:

• Makarov, Zakhaev's former associate, is the new leader of global terrorism
• Soap appears as a "grizzled vet" NPC
• Modern Warfare 2 includes "Special Forces Mode", a series of missions reminiscing of the "Mile High Club" in COD4 (something not to miss!)
• Single Player enemies also has customized weapons (as in multiplayer mode on COD4)
• Riot shields are used in the game
• Swimming is surely possible!
• An oil pipeline scuba mission is included in singleplayer (see pics)
• Two missions take place in Rio de Janeiro and Siberia respectively
• Vehicles such as tanks and trucks are drivable (like in BF2) 

• A mission is completed from an helicopter
• In the demonstration, snow-mobiles are used as a vehicle for escaping; it is indeed possible to ride and shoot from the snow-mobiles in one of the missions.
• Players alternate using the two riggers in order to climb ice walls
• Stealth is a major factor in Modern Warfare 2, making the game a lot more realistic from a technical perspective
• Movable turrets are included in Singleplayer mode
• Modern Warfare 2 runs at 60 fps (frames per second) hence providing a more detailed resolution to the game compared to its predecessor
• The singleplayer missions is increased in length compared to COD4

It is clear that the new Modern Warfare 2 is focusing a lot on stealthiness (lasers are thought to be employed as well) and a wider variety of geographic terrains will be included mainly in icy areas and on water.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is definitely going to be the most exciting and enjoyable game of the year as well as the best-selling one. It is a must for any first-person shooter player or video game player in general!

According to Infinity Ward, the single player campaign will be more varied as well as more open, with the duration of gameplay varying from 8 to 10 hours, slightly more than Modern Warfare. It will be possible to climb icy mountains with ice piks and riding snowmobiles. The way enemies behave in the gameplay will also change, as they decided to remove the option of having an invisible line as the point to reach before enemies stop spawning endlessly.

Special Forces will be a new mode game which consists in a set number of levels that are independent from the actual narrative of the single player mode. The Special Forces mode will play an important part in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and will also be playable on Multi Player. Furthermore Infinity Ward will emphasize making players important in the Multi Player mode based on their accomplishments in matches rather than in long-term scoring points.

 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition is available on both PS3 and Xbox 360; it is the most prestigious of all editions as it includes not only the most complete version (the collectors edition) of the game but also an actual fully functioning NVG or "Night Vision Goggle". Furthermore the box includes a code which can be used to download the rumored PSN/XBLA version of the original Call of Duty game. The $149.99 price tag on the extravagant prestige edition of Modern Warfare 2 is more than acceptable, as an NVG alone usually costs more than $100. If you're keen to play the sequel to the best-selling Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and keen to spy your neighbourhood then I would advise you to start saving.
