- Nepal Telecom (NTC): Nepal Telecom is the major communication service provider in Nepal. Nepal Telecom is the first service provide in Nepal, initially established by Government. Nepal Telecom provides all major services like Internet, email, GSM Mobiles, 3G Mobile service, PSTN Telephones, CDMA Mobile, Pay Phone, Web SMS, IVR Services, GPRS and Notice Board Service. NTC provides its services through Nepal and covers almost all region of Nepal. NTC is the most use communication service provider in Nepal. Its service can be considered a good one.
- Spice Nepal Private Limited (SNPL): SNPL is popularly known as “Mero Mobile.” It was the first private sector GSM mobile established in 2004 and commercially launched on 17th September 2005. It provides its services to all major cities in Nepal. Its service includes GSM pre paid and post paid mobile service, GPRS and EDGE.
- United Telecom Limited (UTL): This Company is based on CDMA technology of communication. It provides services in some major cities of the country. Their service includes CDMA phones, CDMA mobiles and Internet.

Telecommunication facilities are good in Nepal. Government and private sector companies are working hard to improve it further more. Still there is some part of Nepal where communication service is not available. Nepal Telecom is installing VSAT throughout the area where other technology is unavailable.
Internet services are available in cities only. Don’t expect to use internet in rural part of Nepal.
