Camel & Camps

Leaving Rajasthan without going through the excitement of desert safaris is not worth it. The experience of staying in a barren desert full of sand transforms you into a totally different place. If you have visited the royal historic cities of Rajasthan desert safari is a perfect way to end your trip. It sort of encompasses the entire feeling of being in that quaint land of thousand battles and innumerable forts.

If you are a tourist and you are looking for a light adventure, camel safari is a great option as it includes village hopping and camel rides. The camel guides are trained and they can take you through the places in a very memorable way.

Desert Safari India

The sand dunes are the most over whelming experience of Rajasthan. They reflect the vibrancy and fragrance of the Rajasthani culture. As you go deeper into the desert you come closer to the real culture and ethnicity of Rajasthan. Riding on a camel and viewing all this from behind its back is possibly the best way to witness all of it.

Almost all camel safaris begin from Jaisalmer or Jaipur. Both the places are connected with other major cities by air, road and train. Camel safari is done in places like Bikaner and Mandawa which are connected with Jaipur by road. You can even take local transportation to commute between two states. Travel agents help in organizing 2-7 days of camel safaris which gives you a glimpse of the desert and the life there.

The dunes change colors and take a different shape all the time. You also find a large variety of wildlife here. Camps and other cultural activities are carried out here at the dunes.
