Camp Rock is a Disney movie that was released in 2008. The movie starrs the famous Jonas Brothers and Disney’s new favourite girl Demi Lovato.

This is the cast list and the characters they played. I have put a little description of the characters.

The movie kinda goes like....Mitchie goes to a music camp called Camp Rock and blows Shane away with her voice. Shane being the fool he is puts all his energy into finding this girl. They meet and become friends and he later on learns that she is the girl with the voice. Final Jam kicks in and the crowd is surprised when Jasmine sings solo with a breath taking voice to win the contest. A lot of things happened between there but they are not as important as this.

When I think of the movie, I tend to think that the appearance of the Jonas brother was to help the movie sell. Why I would say so? Because they were like at the top of the pyramids on teens favourites at that time and they were new and interesting (here the girls describing them, you will be like omg wtf!). But Demi Lovato is kinda ok. I listened to her debut album Don’t Forget and I was not impressed with her performance at all. She seemed so good in the movie and the song she sang were good. I do not know about her 2009 album Here We Go Again. She will not be able to measure up to Miley Cirus at all.

Camp Rock 2 which is a sequel was supposed to be out in June but had been postponed to December. They just started filming in June; it looks like we are going to wait for a while. I will not be surprised if the release is delayed to 2010 because the cast is also busy with other things and they cannot just reschedule them. The best part of the sequel is that the whole cast is coming back. Now this got me thinking if Tess will be the same spoilt kid or not. Is there any possibility that she and Mitchie will become friends? What about her ill treated friends, are they going to be friends again? And the ever busy singing mom, will she cut down on her schedule to spend time with her daughter? A lot can happen in the sequel but I just hope that the writers don’t mess up the lines.

Anyway, those were just my comments and if i offended any of the die-hard fans, it was not intentional.
