Campaign Marketing....What Is It?

Campaign marketing is just a simple term for all of the marketing methods that you do and each one could be described as a campaign, a promotion that runs it's own course, one that you define, it is said that a collection of different marketing campaigns is best to capture different areas where your potential leads hang out and to have a load of available options for them to sign up or become your subscriber.

Goals mean a lot when it comes to Internet marketing and different marketers have their own set of defined goals for traffic, feed subscribers, sales and sign ups and in effect goals are the end results of your hard work in campaign marketing.

To reach the heights of a good marketer you need to consider all the available opportunities for promotion as there are dozens of great marketing methods that once set in place and breezed through on a regular basis, bring in long term traffic and sales.

Something that I have been getting my teeth stuck into is a good book called Guerilla Marketing and in it there is a load of great online and offline marketing advice that when done collectively will give create great results for you in the long run, although it says that not every marketing technique is for everyone, as some when applied, may not be sufficient, and so it is worth trying different ones to see which will work for your business, two that most certainly do work are Video Marketing and Article Marketing as these are really good, but they do take some time to set up with writing and research etc.

If you think of campaign marketing as lots of strands of hair and each strand of hair is a separate promotion and the hairs roots are your planning, get that part right and your efforts will pay off with your various promotional campaigns.

Other forms of marketing: Online:

Email marketing- I'd say the 3rd best next to video and article marketing, as capturing someones email address to keep in contact with, even though they my not have visited your website for over a week, you can keep in contact with them to keep the idea of them coming back to your website alive.

Network marketing - Doing this anywhere you can, can build up new contacts and potential joint ventures can happen as a result, so always keep an eye on social networking sites and forums for some interactive discussions that you can create new content out of and solutions with new ebooks.

Blog marketing- A personal journal of what you do online can make for some interesting reading and blogs can be monetized later on down the road once traffic has grown, although you are up against other bloggers who are trying to market blogs, the only advantage I would say to take is to write constantly so that things are indexing in the search engines at a regular rate.

Viral marketing- This could be any form of marketing that suddenly goes viral and spreads all over the Internet, this could be planned or accidental, a trend or something so simple can just go viral at a moments notice, but a planned viral marketing strategy takes some time to set up.

Offline marketing:

A similar thing applies, capturing leads offline, but this time it will be, names, addresses and phone numbers, so the business owner can follow up with their prospected leads, offline marketing methods consist of:-

Posters and flyers - These work well to capture a potential customer who sees it and so they contact the business owner in the hope that they can provide what they want and so it's up to the business owner to capture the leads name and address or email address to send more information out to them.

Business card- This simple little card delivers the business name, the business owners name and telephone number and email address and there is usually a tag line that goes with the business name, often though, these are given out in person and the business owner gives their elevator pitch, for those who don't know what an elevator pitch is, well it is the time that is taken for an elevator ride and in that time you explain the main point of your business, a short 20 to 30 seconds to say what your business is about.

Word of mouth- The oldest form of offline marketing still works today if you know and meet a lot of people and so you tell a bunch of your friends, all it might take sometimes is to tell oe friend who knows someone who is interested in your business to go and visit the online website and then they tell their friends and someone else is interested and they tell some of their friends and so on, although there is a constant reliance on new contacts and friends, but it can prove beneficial if you attend relevant conferences or conventions.

T-shirts, stationery and pens - Merchandise could be the ticket for established companies and businesses, nothing says your business slogan or tag line better than a t-shirt or pen you use to sign your name, stationery could also include logos and branded letters and correspondence you send out in your direct mail shots to potential customers.

Of course there are some great choices for campaigns in marketing and so I recommend the Book below as I constantly flick through it for advice as it is like a bible for online marketing and offline marketing.
