Camping In Spain
61Camping in Spain is one of the best ways to see the Spanish coutry without the cost of big hotels or apartments. If you are planning to go away on your holidays this year and you don't know exactly what you're going to do, or where you're going to go then why don't you consider camping in Spain. Spain is an absolutely fantastic country offering spectacular scenery, warm sunshine all year round, beautiful sandy beaches, and attractions for the young and the old alike. In this article I am going to go through a few reasons why you should camp in Spain, and there are many, many more. I'm also going to go into a few bits about where you should camp, there is such a diversity of locations that you will be spoilt for choice. And then there is the question of what to do. Here again I'm afraid that you are going to be spoilt for choice. When you go camping in Spain, there are so many activities indoor and outdoor.
So by the time you finish reading this article you should have a better idea about what is available for camping in Spain. You should also have enough ammunition to be able to check out some of the websites that deal with the different types of activity, campsites in Spain, and regions of Spain.
Camping In Spain
Why would you want to go camping in Spain? Where do I start? It is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, let alone Europe. If you are a camper, and you like roughing it little bit then Spain has a lot to offer. There are very high-quality campsites spread from the north to the south of Spain so regardless of what you are looking for you will find the campsites suit your needs. The beaches are second to none, most of them are beautiful sandy strips, with the warm sea and plenty of activity to keep parents and children happy all day long. And then the weather, what shall I say about the weather, apart from the fact that it's sun, sun, sun. There a few days when you will have to put up with rain, especially if you are in the north, but if you travel down towards the south of the country or along the costas you will rarely see any rain, unless it’s one of those quick, heavy, downpours that is over as quickly as it began.
Where should you go camping in Spain? Again this is going to depend on what you are going to Spain for. There is no point in camping in one of the many fantastic cities if you are looking for a beach holiday. There's no point in camping near the beaches if you're looking for peace and quiet relaxation. There are many campsites in many different places. You can look up the Internet for camping in Spain and you will find a multitude of campsites to suit your needs. You will find campsites in Spain that will be near the beaches so you can spend the day lazily sun tanning yourself while enjoying those frequent dips into the warm azure water. You can go to one of the many city campsites and enjoyed the city nightlife, or bus tours around the famous sites. Or you can camp near one of the many fun parks and other attractions, spending your day buzzing up and down roller coasters.
Camping in Spain
So what are you going to do once you are camping in Spain? So this is all apart from what I've already said, you should try and visit Spain when there will be a fiesta in the area that you are going to. Again, you must really do an in-depth search on the Internet to find out all of this information. Simply Google the area that you're going to and you will surely have pages full of hot tips on where to go and what to see. You can go sightseeing around the cities such as Barcelona or Madrid. You can drive up and down the hustle and bustle of the Costa Del Sol or the Costa Blanca. You can head up into the mountains for a drive through some of the most magnificent country you will never see, real spaghetti western areas. Or you can take in one of the huge festivals like the chasing of the bull in Pamplona, or the huge tomato fights in Valencia. Your only limits are going to be how much time you have, and how much money you are going to be able spend.
Outdoor activities are an essential part of being in Spain. There's no point in sitting inside your tent all day, you're going to fry anyway, so slap yourself full of factor 50 sun tan oil, and head out for wild wacky adventures. So what can you do? Again, it depends on how much money you've got, and how much time you have available to you. There is mountain climbing in through the mountain peaks and up through the trails and passes. There are so many sea sports such as handgliding and paragliding, diving, and jet skiing, surfing, etc. and there are ski resorts all over the country with enough slopes for beginners to intermediate, through to the advanced. So you have no natural excuse for not getting outdoors and doing something even if it's only walking.
So, I hope that this article has given you a taste of what is available when you go camping in Spain. I haven't even touched on the food and drink, or any of the other entertainment that is available; suffice it to say that the reasons for camping in Spain are far too many to be written in a small article like this. Where to camp out and what to do when you get there are other considerations which should be left to your own ingenuity. You have the bare outline so all you have to do is local on the Internet and you will find the information for anything that you need. Last but by no means least I hope when you do go on your camping holidays to Spain you have a really fantastic time and bring me back a stick of rock.
