Can A Woman Be Attracted To A Bald Man?
78On the face of it, one would be tempted to say that baldness in a man should not matter to a woman. In fact, one can put forward the argument that there are many attractive male celebrities who are in fact bald, and their appeal seems to in no way be diminished by the fact that they are bald. There are also those who say that it is the person that really matters and not the fact that they are bald or not. That seems to me to be pretty true, but there is also the question of first impressions and whether in that respect baldness puts off some women or not. To me that seems to be the pertinent question here.
To that question, I think the answer would be that it does negatively impact on the man's attractiveness, especially if he doesn't quite look sexy or attractive with a bald head. It is an inescapable fact that while some men might look attractive with a shaved head, others might not look as attractive and might in fact look quite odd or funny or goofy. The shape of the man's head can make him look good or bad when bald and that is unfortunately quite true in my opinion at least.
To come back to the question though, I think women can be attracted to a bald man in the long term, after getting to know the man. There are of course a few bald men who look attractive irrespective, but in my opinion at least, they are a small minority. For most men, baldness unfortunately can be a stumbling block in so far as first impressions are concerned. Also, its important to note that, when asked this question, most women instinctively think of bald male celebrities and hence their answers aren't exactly reflective of what they really think. Just my take on the issue. I know there can be lots of varied opinions on this subject.

Maven, you are an attractive bald man. I wouldn't think you would have had any problems in relationships. This topic intrigued me and I put forth my opinion on it (which is all that it was). Maybe some of it was derived from the thoughts of women I've talked to in the past. Thank you Maven for dropping by and sharing your views - appreciate your comments as always :)

I have never let my hirsute pate get in the way of relationships...actually I have never even considered it a problem...although, I do have the occasional day dream of leaning against a door jamb and tossing my long-lost locks in a flamboyant manner...Oh well, those days are over, and now I just wear a lot of hats...Larry
