So you want to develop psychic powers huh?
The idea of being able to bend reality to do your will excites you.
The idea that as soon as you demonstrate said ability in public, the government will sweep in and whisk you away to some God-Forsaken base out in the middle of a desert somewhere doesn't bother you right?
You kinda like it 'cause everyone wants to be wanted by someone right?

Well if you believe the internet, people with psychic powers abound!
Just go to a forum and ask.
People with vast mental abilities will answer you, telling how when they get mad that can slam doors shut, smite people with a blast of psychic energy etc.

Unfortunately, none of these people seem to have ever heard of The Amazing Randi's James Randi Educational Foundation $1,000,000 dollar prize:

See, to me this is a really double edged sword.
I haven't seen anyone with psychic powers.
BUT...I want there to be people with psychic powers.
I really do.

Of course there are tons of places you can go online to learn to develop psychic powers.
Most of them want money to teach you though.
Bummer.
But hey, if you do manage to develop psychic power, you could easily recoup your losses at the JREF right?
Or Vegas!
(By the way, there are at least twenty five more organizations besides the JREF that offer monetary awards for proof of the paranormal in an observed setting. You could really clean up.)

Like I said though, there are lots of places that have psychic tests online.
Bella Online has a pretty neat psychic test with Zener cards.

(I personally like the Zener cards because they were invented by psychologist Karl Zener in the early 1930s and Dr. Zener did a big part of his psychic research right here in my home state of North Carolina at Duke University, just a few miles from me.)

But if you don't already have psychic powers , how to you get them?
Well from what I have read, you just don't.
Sorry.
Most of the cases I have read about are people born with these abilities.
Or they acquire them by accident as a child.

The Russian housewife Nina Kulagina had forty scientists (two of then Nobel laureates) study her and they said she had psychokinesis.
But evidently she was born with it.
Her...I really do wonder about.

Uri Geller, who for years claimed psychokinesis and telepathy and was studied at the Stanford Research Institute (and they said that he had performed successfully enough to warrant further study), said that he started bending spoons at the age of five.
But I have the old Uri Geller's Mindpower Kit (see...I told you I was interested) that said something about him getting his powers from aliens.
Oh Uri changes his story constantly, now he's not a "psychic,", he's a "mystifier."

Now certain meditation techniques are said to enable you to develop psychic powers.
But here I have to wonder if these abilities are something we are all born with, and it just comes out after years and years of practice.
