Can a naturalized, foreign born run for president of the US?

The founding fathers of America decided that it would not be a good idea to allow foreign-born citizens to lead the country. Considering how hard they fought in the Revlutionary War to rid the country of British control, it is understandable that they might be weary to allow someone from another nation to run the show. The main fear was that the foreigner's loyalty might be more toward his homeland than the U.S.

With the popularity of Gov. Arnold Swarzenegger (who was born in Austria), the talk once again began about allowing foreign citizens to run. In 2004, it was brought up in Congress to allow foreign citizens who have lived in the U.S. at least 20 years the chance to run. It was denied.

If a person doesn't have a noticeable accent like Gov Schwarznegger, but has some fake documents, are there any checks to find out whether he/she is, in fact, a "natural-born" American citizen?

just like any job you have to apply for you need documents. since they are government issued, I'm sure they would be able to know they are fake. There is also the birth registry and background checks.

As a matter of fact, if you examine closely the birth certificate that is on Barack Obama's website (fight the Smears) it is actually a computer-generated, Photo-shopped, GIMP-ed fraud. Any comment?
