Love...Never Met???How!?

Well, there are those of you who say that you met your husbands or wives over the internet, I however do not want to discuss online dating right now. As I have recently gone through such an experience that I am not ready to fully share my opinions ont the matter and help people with it.

On the otherhand, there are some points I'd like to bring up to par with some people who are interested in this topic. When you "love" someone you will have met them eventually. So Yes I think it's possible however I do not suggest you try and find your true love without meeting them in the first place because the chances of it happening are very low. Not only the chances make it a hard thing to agree with, but also the moral of it over all. When you are trying to find someone that you love you want to be able to meet them.

If you find that you may "love" someone and you don't get to meet them, it's very saddening. You might feel discouraged to think the person is even a real person. You could be just talking with a computer, or a complete fake trying to get to little girls and boys. IT ISN'T A GOOD THING TO DATE ONLINE, ESPECIALLY IF YOUR A TEENAGER, "AND YOUR MIND'S ARN'T COMPLETELY ADEPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT". So therefore I suggest that you try and find someone that you can meet in person.

If not then just wait. If you are meant to be with someone, they will come to you in the randomness of times. Infact, now that I'm on the discussion. I want you (my viewers) to leave some comments of how you met your special someone. Tell a story briefly so that way those of us feeling discouraged by the dating game can feel encouraged by your romantic coming together in Marriage.

Thanks and leave some comments!!! Have an awesome day!!!

you might think you are in love chatting...but you must meet in person to actually know for sure and then seems that would also take time...I met my ex husband through my sister..G-Ma :o) Hugs & Peace

I totally agree. I am not in love and I'm too old for that online dating thing. I wanna met him in person. In fact, I want him to come knockin' at my door and say"hey, I'm your true love". lol just kidding espian but I like your hub and your opinion.

Online is everything possible without meeting the other person, even arguing, he, he, he. Love, of course...but for real love relationship, meeting the other human being is of the main importance.

One special person I met on the one small island...Like in paradise.

Great Hub, EspianS. Thumbs up

Yes, you can indeed fall in love online. I met my boyfriend of 5 years in this way. I don't think it is that unusual, really. If you look at many writers in history who did it--the Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning, Cyrano de Bergerac, etc. Don't recommend it to teenagers, though, lol! The inexperienced DO need to be careful out there.

Lita- I admit you can. However, it is very unlikely compared to traditionally meeting someone in person. But thanks for sharing how you met your true love. Have an awesome day!

Hey, Espian-- I see you just made a request for random poetry topics...  I actually published a hub on this, but unpublished it because it was not that popular and because I stopped writing every day like I promised (bad PR, lol).

I will go ahead and re-publish it (under a poetry month, etc. as the title), if you want to check it out.  It is easier sometimes to jump off as a writer from a random place.  It can inspire you.

Glad to see you like to write so much!  Planning to be a writer?

My husband and I met at Borders Books and Music. We both spent a lot of time in book stores (still do). He struck up a converstation, we ended up going for lunch and have been together since.

I met someone on a forum I visit often. We both obviously liked each other. However, we were too nervous to show pictures or give phone numbers or anything. And now he is gone, and it's heartbreaking - literally. I feel like my heart has been torn from my chest and I'm dying to talk to him again. I know his IP address, and his first name, but that's all I know about him. Do you have any suggestions about how I can find this man I love so much?

i totally agree. By using the internet, you can be anyone at any place. People/looks and words can be deceiving. But real interaction is up on a different level with respect to online communication. :D
