Cancer fighting foods
After reading how some foods could reduce the chances of getting cancer I decided to do a little research on the subject,
A good healthy diet of fruit and vegetables is the best way of reducing the chances of getting cancer where as a poor diet can quite easily cause cancer as well as plenty of other illnesses, Evidence suggest that some components of food such as phytochemicals, antioxidants and omega-3 can reduce the risk of cancer, Phytochemicals are found only in plants and cannot be found in supplements they protect the plants against bacteria, viruses and fungi, Eating large and varied amounts of brightly coloured fruit and veg (which contain phytochemicals) you can decrease the chances of getting some cancers as well as decreasing the risk of heart disease, Listed below are the different phytocemicals with a brief description and where they can be found.
Phytochemicals (Phytonutrients)
ALLICIN: Blocks or eliminates certain toxins from bacteria and viruses- found in onions and garlic.

I love chilli peppers and know they are good for you, but they are so hot
Well done Stuart. I know fruits and vegetables are good for you, just in most cases I didn't know why. Good article
What's interesting is the conclusions drawn from foods. I've yet to see any study on what are the known proven causes of cancer. Why doesn't everyone get cancer? Why are only some people susceptible? What we know is there are ways to reduce our chances of cancer, but no proven way to stop it or cure it. Cancer by definition is improper cell division. But causes are still unknown.

Hi,
Have you studied the effects of eating habanero peppers? I found some pretty interesting scientific studies that you might want to read.
