Can't Trust a Big Butt and a Smile! Or Can You?

Ok all you booty lovers you know who you are. You are the ones that wait for those stars like Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce Knowles and Kim Kardashian who are known for their bodacious backsides to appear so that you can get a glance. You know who all the big booty stars are and wait with bated breath for their appearance. What is the fascination with butts and specifically big old butts? I have no idea but it seems that music has recently started to reflect this fascination with the backside and here are a few songs from different genres to honor those blessed with curves.

There is nothing better than an ode to the big ole butt. This song makes a girl proud to be blessed with curves because after all if the sexy LL appreciates the junk in the trunk then it is all good!!

Now this is a different type of homage to the butt.  A little bit more of a sexual connotation but it is still a butt worshipping song.  And the song gives props to the butt and the main focus of this song; nothing like a one-tracked mind.

Probably the most famous dedication to the gluteus maximus is Sir Mix A Lot’s Baby’s Got Back.  After this song came out it was cool to have a big butt and even better for the big butt lover.  Suddenly PHAT backsides were being noticed.

MISS NEW BOOTY – BUBBA SPARXXX  

Booty Booty Booty rockin everywhere? This song goes as far as to say with a new booty a woman can make all her dreams come true! Really? If only it were that easy or maybe it is.    

MS. FAT BOOTY – MOS DEF 

“Ass so fat that you could see it from the front.” Mos Def must be the ultimate ass connoisseur since he is able to see a big ass from the front, that is a powerful statement or else it’s a huge butt.

Erykah Badu is in competition with another woman with a bigger booty but she is not threatened.  The other woman might have more than Badu does but she is not threatened by her abundance.    

HONKY TONK BADONKADONK – TRACE ADKINS

Trace Adkins’ ode to the country booty.  Nothing more hilarious than listening to a country singer talk about booty; seems that ass crosses all genres of music.  I guess country girls have booty too and they should be worshipped as well.   

BOOTYLICIOUS - DESTINY'S CHILD

Destiny’s Child talks about the benefits of being bootylicious and this coming from a woman who is known for her body, especially her backside.  This should be every woman’s anthem to their bodies.  Enjoy what you have even if it is in abundance.  Shake it girl!

TUSH – ZZ TOP

ZZ Top laments as they look for booty.   Nothing like being on a quest for booty again this has sexual connotations since the group is searching for ass.  Hey if you can find it downtown might as well go for it.  

NOWASSITALL – AISHA TYLER 

Aisha Tyler talks about her lack of booty in this song of woe.  Tyler talks about how inadequate she felt growing up as well as now because she has no ass.  This is a twist on the norm, a woman wishing she had more ass than she does?  Isn’t it usually the other way around or maybe the grass is always greener on the other side.
