Capitol Hill Block Party 2009

What is the Capitol Hill Block Party?

The Capitol Hill Block party happens every summer in Seattle and showcases well over five dozen bands from all around the nation and specifically indie bands from the midwest. The Capitol Hill Block Party tickets are a lot cheaper than other music festivals, making it a poor music lover's dream come true. It is a celebration of progressive independent music and independent thought, as well as the history of that.

When does the Capitol Hill Block Party Happen?

The Capitol Hill Block Party happens ever year during the month of July. This year it's from the 24th through the 25th, with excellent lineups on both days. Advance tickets are available to go to the Capitol Hill Block Party at Urban Outfitters and Ticketwest.com and the tickets will be available up through the first day of CHBP (Friday July 24th). Tickets sold out quickly last year, and it's first come first serve so I suggest you get to it!

Where does the Capitol Hill Block Party take place?

The Capitol Hill Block Party will take place at E. Pine Street 10th Ave in Seattle, WA!

How much does the Capitol Hill Block Party cost?

For one day it costs $23 or $42 for both of the days. You will not find another music festival this inexpensive. This is so cheap and the lineup is simply fantastic. You shouldn't miss this one. All ticket sales are final and the show goes on in rain or shine, so get ready!

How old do you have to be to go to the Capitol Hill Block Party?

However old you are! There is no restriction on ages at the Capitol Hill Block Party. In fact, if you're 10 or under you go FOR FREE when you're accompanied by an adult. The Neumos stage is 21 and over and you must have a valid government issued ID to enter. If you don't have an idea you won't be let into the stage, so don't forget it at home. No excuses!

No worries. There will be food vendors around and inside the CHBP and there are local restaurants nearby. If you're really worried, bring a paper bag lunch.

What if I need to leave the Capitol Hill Block Party? Will I be able to re-enter later?

Yes. Re-entry is allowed with your ticket stub and hand stamped. If you do not have both of these two you will not, under any circumstances, be allowed back into the festival. Be wise and make sure you keep your ticket stub in a safe place, and make sure to get your hand stamped if you are leaving. They are very strict about this and you won't be let back in to listen to the music.

If you want to take photographs you are allowed to bring in a camera without a detachable lens, mind you. You can also bring in sealed bottle of water, small sacks and packs, a hat and sunscreen to pretect you from harmful UV rays while you listen to music, and lighters. Nothing illegal and dangerous!

Can I drink at the Capitol Hill Block Party?
