Born as Vijayaraj Naidu on August 25 1952 in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. His parents are K.N.Alagarswami Naidu and Aandal. He married his wife Premalatha Vijayakanth Naidu on January 31, 1990 and has two sons with her, Vijay Prabhakar Naidu and Shanmuga Pandian Naidu. He is nicknamed 'Captain', as he has starred in a popular movie called "Captain Prabhakharan". "Captain Prabhakharan" was a Blockbuster of the year 1992 & Vijayakanth's 100th film.
Recently having entered the world of Tamil politics he has tried to change the political scene of TN, which is famous for either only having the ADMK or DMK in power. HisDMDK party is remarkable for the fact that it did not align with any other party during elections.
Political Life
In 2006, Vijaykanth Naidu started a political party DMDK (Desia Murpokku Dravidar(Naidu) Kazhagam) and contested in Tamil Nadu Elections. He won from Vridhachalam constituency which was considered a PMK stronghold. Other members of his party did not win. He was able to secure around 8% votes in his first election and in Local Election he got around 17%.

Dear Mr.VijayaKanthgaru,You told you will make Hindi as a language in schools and I welcome it. It is my humble request that Telugu people in Tamilnadu should be given an opportunity to learn their mother tongue Telugu in schools. You yourself being Telugu should support & do something for this. I was brought up in Tamilnadu & though the place in which I studied has 50% Telugu people & major Naidu's colleges, schools are there Telugu is not offered in school. Otherwise Telugu language & culture can't be preserved. Now Naidu people slowly avoid speaking Telugu in the house & among their relatives. Why shouldn't we respect our mother tongue? In Bangalore almost everybody speaks minimum four languages> (even at worker level) Kannada is still there. I am also a Naidu. Kindly do something for learning Telugu. Thanks.

Vijayakanth claims to be the true heir to MGR's legacy and is called 'Black MGR' by his supporters. He made his political ambitions amply clear when he launched the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) in 2005.Not only did the DMDK bag around 8 per cent of the total vote in the last Assembly elections, it also upset the chances of many candidates of all the major parties.

We expect that Captain should give a corruption-free and decent, efficient rule.
We see that patriotism is missing in the present day politicians. My strong feeling is that military people should be part of politics as they dared their lives for the sake of country. I request captain to engage military people in his government.
When Dr.Abdul Kalam and Dr.Manmohan Singh were the prime leaders of the country (both were the most learned people - which no other country in this world had), still our country could not lift its head and see other countries. They were at their best, but by the nature of corruption imbibed people they could not implement their ideas and plans.
Patriotism and eminence is totally lagging among politicians which should be brought in our country men.
I saw Dr.Regina Papa as a part of DMDK in a meeting telecasted in television and was surprised on the proactive thoughts of captain to bring in such educated people into the party. I know that she was the director of women studies in Alagappa University.
One thing I witnessed is captain should use stubborn and humble words in his speech - like "Tamizhla enakku pidikkatha vaarthai mannippu". I saw him speaking like "Ithu aanavam illai, nambikkai", yes he is correct, but when we look at other leaders they covered people by speech.
Tamil Nadu expects a lot

As Captain being MLA of Virudhachalam assembly please highlight his service in that constituency, because in news papers or TVs we are not able able to see (as newspapers and TVs were party specific).
If you can make the educated people to come to the poll booth and vote, you are sure to make a great success. I am very sure that 90% of the educated community don't vote because of aversion. Even I never voted.

I am Yuvan Mano from USA. I am pretty much frustrated in the cheap politics rolling in the state for about 2 decades. For each election I will come to India to vote as I dont want any one to proxy vote under my name. As any other citizen I wish to have a change and when I landed last time for the election I was pretty much not confident about DMDK's success in Erode (as I heared that there were too many opposition from DMK and AIADMK blocking DMDK to conduct any public debate) and I know well that Captain will win:) Even though I know DMDK can't win in ERODE, I voted for DMDK and left the country smiling myself that I voted for the right choice.
Now since the next election is very close. Do you think that DMDK has the liberty to come out and face the public to say what they can do if DMDK is on power? I was watching / searhing for DMDK's statements everyday and I still think that DMDK's voice is suppressed by the current politics.
I am an active member of USA - State Tamil Sangam and two other organizations where we get donations from the people in USA and have groups all over Tamil Nadu to serve for the poor public like helping in buying furnitures for schools, renovating schools, educating people, building public sewer/toilet system etc where there is no to near zero facility.
Whenever I talked to anybody in our group of people they say we need a change. One thing is clear in this case where EVERYBODY WANTS A CHANGE, as such, there are everybody looking for the information from the DMDK that what is their plan. Honestly I can't get any information about DMDK's plan for people from anywhere.
It is always necessary to have a party's website through which we can cover up most of the educated group outside the country and through which we can reach the people in every sinlgle piece of Tamil Nadu. You cannot cover 100% but atleast 40-50% is sure. If you can get us Vijayakanth Sir's email ID, we can reply back with our organization's websites which will give him an idea of how to create a website with public relations.
I noticed all your above comments in which most are like people trying to get into the party thinking that they can get benefit by being a short term MLA :) and your one word answer to that was Xcellent :) I am with pretty serious concern with no intention to ask for position in DMDK. In other words a clean out side political support to bring a new force.

Child labour Act is the service organisation for avoiding the child workers in Society. It main responsibility is control the child labours & providing education to them by home, Ashramam, etc.
But in our society daily we meet the begger childrens on road in our routine life. There are several types of childrens begging are there.
1. Childrens directly begging on Road signal, Temples, Shoping Complex,etc,.
2. Some major male or female beggers begging with Rental Childrens
Inthis case following creiminal criminal activities will held in our society
1. Childrens are kidnaped by criminals.
2. They removed the Childrens Eyes & Other parts and sold to some other Criminals.
3. Finally the beggers will purchased the Childrens on rental basis from the criminals.
4. Then automatically increased the % of the beggers & Criminals in India.
The main resposibility of the Child Labour Act is "TO FEEDING THE EDUCTIAON AND NEWLIFE TO CHILDRENS AND AVOID THE CHILD WORKERS (BEFORE 18YRS) IN OUR SOCIETY"
My Question is 'The child labour Act & organisation objected the Child workmen and Accept the Child Beggers"
My point is "CHILD WORKERS ARE 1000'S TIMES BETTER THAN CHILD BEGGERS"

I hope Mr. Vijayakanth will take up the cause of Tamils in Srilanka. It looks like that only few parties are interested in that now. I am not saying that you have to support LTTE but the military attack on Tamil refuges must be seriously addressed. Many of us gave our anguish over people killed in Mumbai but little or no attention is paid to our own people get got in this unwanted war. Loss of civilian life must be condemned by one and all not just Tamil. For people killed in Gaza we raised our voice and why everyone keeps mum now. Hope Captain will make some call on this.

It is unfortunate that Vijayakanth is planning to FORCE Hindi on our Tamil kids. We advice him to stop his anti-Tamil and anti-Indian stand (a true Indian will respect the diversity aspect of our country and will not try to kill the same by propagating the ‘Wear the Uniform’ slogan). Pl note the following :
> We are learning 2 languages now - 1 Indian and 1 International. This is good enough for us to live life in 21st Century. We learn "Tamil' which is our Mother Tongue (which is also an Indian language only). The other one is English which we are learning to talk to the world. When we say 'World', it includes India also. India is not located in a separate planet, right? It is very much part of this world only...
> India is a multi-lingual and culturally diverse country. North Indians have tried to make it monolingual by self-declaring Hindi as our national language, which itself is invalid as per our constitution. We need to boldly tell our kids as well as the outside world that India is a multi-lingual nation. Currently North Indians and weak Southies are bluffing to our kids and the world stating that Hindi is our National Language. Many are misleaded to believe that Hindi is our national language. A lie told One Hundred Lakh times cannot become true.
> All languages and religion in India should be treated equally. Trying to evolve a common uniform for all Indians breaks the very concept of "Unity in Diversity"
> If a Tamil or a North Indian settles down in Kerala, it makes sense for the person to pick up Malayam and talk to Keralites in Malayalam. Otherwise it will kill the diversity aspect of India if you start expecting all states to talk to each other in Hindi. Why should we start doing something which does not make any sense?. For a person who happens to do a visiting trip to another State, English should be good enough for communication.
> Indians have accepted Jeans, T-Shirts, Science, Technology and everything invented by West. Infact most Northies have changed their hairstyles also to match with their western counterparts. What's the problem for them in accepting English? This rigid Anti-English attitude of Hindians is proving very costly on India which spends crores of our Tax money towards promotion of Hindi.
> Teaching a 3rd language right from childhood means our children have to put enormous effort, money and time to learn Hindi which otherwise could have been utilized for building\enhancing their knowledge in Business Applications, Science & Technology, music, arts etc. Nowhere in the world, people are under pressure to learn 3 languages and that too right from their childhood!! Also it means additional financial burden for the state government.
> Learning of an additional language (3rd one) needs to be a choice. If a person does not want to overload himself with the 3rd language, rather he wants to invest time and money in learning a new art, let him decide accordingly. It will be an undemocratic action if you force everyone to wear a common uniform (to put it in your slang - spectacles).
> A language is just not a medium of communication. Every language has got it's own history and culture. When you get exposed to a language, the culture and history of the language will have impact on you and people will start embracing that culture and behavior patterns also. So, if a person decides to learn a language, which language he wants to learn also should be a choice. We may see factors like cultural heritage of the language (which we can grasp directly by seeing the historical and current behavior of people speaking that language), classical & literary strength of that language, etc. If mankind had spoken that language for thousands of years, they would have gathered so much of experience which we will gain by learning that language and it's literature. If people speaking that language has made lot of scientific & technological advancements and they are doing very good business, it makes sense for us to learn their language as it will help us in doing trade with them. This way, learning German will prove more effective for Tamils than Hindi. Leave it to people to decide what they want. Just wonder what Hindi has to offer? People like Vijayakanth may be interested in Bollywood. Those who wants to enter Bollywood can think of learning Hindi then. Why force everyone?
> Please note that South Indians are professionals and we don't enforce our language in our workplace. If IT is our business and if a North Indian comes to work with us, we will give him the required training for promoting his IT skill sets only. And during Promotions for the NI resource also, we will give PR based on the work contribution and IT skill sets of the resource. Unfortunately, our North Indians are just opposite to their Southern counterparts. Department of Technology (which comes under the Central Government establishment) spends crores of rupees towards promotion of Hindi. And it demands that a person should pass Hindi Exams to take to higher levels !! What is the objective of DOT in India? To promote Technology or to promote Hindi? Same is true with all Central Government establishments. Pl request Northies to learn professionalism from their southern counterparts rather than forcing Southies to dance to the tunes of a North Indian.
> Every citizen of India should be treated equally. By forcing Hindi, South Indians will get exposed to Hindi, it's culture and it's people. We all know that by promoting a language, apart from it's culture and history, business and trade for these 'pushy' people also gets promoted as it will increase their ‘reach’. Facilitating this one way exchange of culture & heritage is just biased and giving this special treatment for North Indians for doing extended trade and business is just unfair. If we are giving privileged treatment for one sect of people (Hindi speaking Northies), then it is against the constitution of India that says every Indian is equal. Pl don't attempt to make Tamils as secondary citizens of this nation.
It has already happened for the rest of India and Tamil Nadu is the only state which remains powerful in India. North Indians expect that they should always be serviced only in their language wherever they go (irrespective of whether it is Kerala or TamilNadu or Assam or any non-hindi speaking state) - be it in the Train or any public places or banks or business houses, etc. At present, they are not getting the personnel services done for them in the state of Tamil Nadu alone. They are already cribbing on this and venting out their frustrations as they are not getting the ‘Superior’ treatment. They can achieve the same once a ‘week’ party rules over the state.
> Pl have the foresight to see the impact of decisions. The best quality of a Tamil leader that we have noticed from the history is their 'intelligence' to foresee things. To quote a sample impact analysis, a north Indian having little bit of acting skills will be more popular than our own talented actor in South because of the additionally "ENFORCED" reach. And finally, a message will be sent to all Indians that if you want to reach people, stop working in your language and change to Hindi. This way, we will end up loosing lot of good professionals working for Tamil in all fields. It is already happening out of indirect enforcement of Hindi. Direct Enforcement will be a real disaster for this state where the democratic rights of the people w.r.t language are still held upright.
> When Southies went to North for job, our people quickly learned the local NI language there. But if a Northie come to work in our IT field down south, then also Southies are expected to learn his language and that too what? -- Right from our childhood days to welcome him on one fine day!! Totally unfair and atrocious...
> Pl come out of this selfish\fanatic attitude on Hindi. Tamils have fought a lot to win against Hindi Chauvinism

i always like cap Vijaykanth. I find real spirit in him to help the needy and poor people. He is the real alternative for this Tamilnadu's cheap politics. He should try providing jobs for youngsters instead of these people getting free things. Free things will always keep the poor as the poor. Unemployment provides scope for idle minds. Idle minds always go for evil things which are detrimental to the society. When a woman is able to wlk freely on the roads of chennai even in the midnight, that is the day we get the meaning for independence. As all of us know Chennai is in the hands of rodies though Govt takes steps to curtail it. Surely I hope Capt.Vijaykanth can give protection to common man. One student was telling in the college run by Captain whoever visits gets royal treatment from the very hands of Mrs and Mr Vijayakanth with due respect. Long live Mr.Vijaykanth. Pl take care of senior citizens also.

One thing I missed finding all those who praise MGR is they have not followed the good habits of MGR.
For example MGR is the only HERO who has not smoked, there is no one other then him I can find one.
