A universal model can also be opted if you the tripod model is not available. It resembles the tripod model in principle with slight modification to the physical structure. This universal model got a base which holds the vertical arm and the tray. The base will be bolted to the flat floor of the vehicle. It requires some drilling to be done to the vehicle. This model is best suited for the service vans and municipal or government vehicles.

Another option is the mobile desk. This is a mini office with various compartments which can hold a lot of accessories with it. It occupies a passenger seat and need to be secured with the seat belt. It got a portable file system, pullout utensil compartments and slide-out tabletops for writing and sorting paperwork. Even some has built-in converter, with which the laptop can be charged.
