There's a lot of auto insurance companies out there clamoring for your money. I don't watch a lot of TV but when I do turn it on, I can be certain that there will always be a car insurance commercial on, regardless of the time of day or night.

And instead of listing boring statistics ala the opening credits to Star Wars, car insurance commercials really do seem to be making an effort to be fun and even mildly entertaining.

Justin really plays it cool, which tells you that if you have a problem in the middle of the night (with your car), you can just call up Justin and he will be there to save the day, maybe even bringing you a cup of hot coffee and a warm hug, just in case. Progressive Auto's Flo

Then there's the very adorable and accommodating spokesperson for Progressive Auto Insurance, Flo. She gives you a ton of choices that allow you to customize your car insurance so that you get exactly what you wanted and no more - or less. And she's so quirky and cute you just know Flo will got your back when you need it. Here she is helping a confused shopper.

Geico Insurance's Gecko

Geico Insurance's little green mascot, the Geico Gecko, is king of the soft sell. He almost apologizes for trying to sell you car insurance, and makes you feel like he will bring you tea and crumpets when he writes up your insurance order.

He is so cute and sweet that you just want to give him big piles of money and smother him with kisses while you're at it!

The Allstate Insurance Guy

You probably remember him from the popular TV series "24", in which he played the President of the United States. In his role as President, actor Dennis Haysbert was cool, calm and collected. And he brings that same calm, reassuring demeanor to his role as Allstate's spokesman.

Allstate Insurance's long-standing claim is that their customers are in good hands, and with Dennis in your corner, you can't help but believe it.
