Car Wreck

This morning I woke up at 5:00 am for a photo shoot in LA. It's about a three hour drive from San Luis Obispo. I wasn't especially tired, however I'm guessing for about two seconds I dosed off. I veered off just pass an offramp into ice plant. I awoke and everything happened way too quickly. I hit the embankment and then slammed into the concrete pillar of an overpass bridge. The first thought that came to my mind was that my legs were smashed. The dash was crushed over and I was stuck pretty good. I somehow managed to slither through the back and out the door. I was in great shock and lied on the ground just in case my neck was fractured. At that point it hurt pretty bad. The ambulance came and took me off to Cottage hospital in Santa Barbara where they did multiple spinal chord checks and stitched up my left knee. The doctors and myself were amazed that everything looked ok other than some cuts and bruises. About a few hours later I was looking at my car in disbelief wondering how I made it out the way I did. I have to thank God in this one. He was definitely watching out for me this day.
