Carl Jung The Man That Suggested Moral Physchology And Led Many To God

Carl Jung and his idea of moral physiology being of benefit to Alcoholic’s has been credited as one of the founding moments of Alcoholics Anonymous when he suggested it to a drunk named Roland H. the co founder of A.A.,Bill W.,wrote a letter to Jung saying “This letter of great appreciation has been very long overdue. . . . Though you have surely heard of us [AA], I doubt if you are aware that a certain conversation you once had with one of your patients, a Mr. Roland H., back in the early 1930's did play a critical role in the founding of our fellowship.9
Wilson continued the letter by reminding Jung of what he had "frankly told [Roland H.] Of his hopelessness," that he was beyond medical or psychiatric help. Wilson wrote: "This candid and humble statement of yours was beyond doubt the first foundation stone upon which our society has since been built." When Roland H. had asked Jung if there was any hope for him Jung "told him that there might be, provided he could become the subject of a spiritual or religious experience - in short, a genuine conversion." Wilson continued in his letter: "You recommended that he place himself in a religious atmosphere and hope for the best”
Being a recovering Alcoholic that has found the power of God to be the main force behind this moral physiology I have come to respect Mr. Jung suggestion as one of utmost importance and a demonstration of how God works for man.
A man that many say was anti-God suggest to his patient to try and have a religious conversion, after admitting that he had fail to simulate one, this would be pointless except for the fact that the patient was and such a hopeless state that he took his doctors suggestion and the rest is history.
One has to look at the number affected by this statement
THIS fourth edition of “Alcoholics Anonymous” came off press in November 2001, at the start of a new millennium. Since the third edition was published in 1976, worldwide membership of A.A. has just about doubled, to an estimated two million or more, with nearly 100,800 groups meeting in approximately 150 countries around the world.
Ok I said that lead many to God and I have talked a lot about A.A. but that’s just it God is the main topic of A.A. Bill has said it and so have many others that belief and the power of God and one Alcoholic sharing how that power work and his life has led to many recoveries and continues to be one of the main steps of the program; so we Alcoholics have to give Jung his due he suggested God and we followed the results are outstanding and God prove to be awesome.
So Jung suggestion has led to a host of 12 Step programs who in step two suggest that only God can restore one to sanity. How can we deny such convincing evidence? Millions have taken step two and regain sanity I am one of those that’s why writing this piece has been a dream come true. Every time and Alcoholic or any 12 step program extends their hand to a suffer he offering moral physiology that leads to and God encounter that changes lives and brings God into the life of a hurting person; so Jung gave the gift that keeps on giving hope in God.

I did know that Jung had studied Buddhism and other spiritual believes, but I was not aware of his "Red Book" or any connection to AA! Thank you for the insights!I have learned something here.

Thank you, thank you! I am also recovering, and an avid fan of Carl Jung's. I read about his 'Red Book' not too long ago and was floored by the images. Can't wait for the upcoming publication.
