You should always get carpet samples before making an investment in a brand new carpet. Getting a carpet sample is a great way to see how you think the color and texture of your potentially new carpet will look in an area of your home. You should never go out and buy a brand new roll of carpet unless you are precisely sure that you are picking out the exact color that you needed for a specific area of your home. All too often, people go out and buy carpeting that does not match only to have it installed and realize after it is in place that they want a new color of carpeting.

Getting carpet color samples should help you avoid any common newbie problems when it comes to carpet buying. Free carpet samples are a great way to figure out whether you think a certain color carpet would look good inside of your house. If you end up buying some carpet samples, you can even resell them after you are done using them. With that said, most carpet sales companies will lend out carpet color samples for free to help you decide which type of carpeting will best suit your needs.

First of all, it is important to realize that a carpet sample is not the exact same thing as a carpet remnant. A carpet sample is typically smaller than a carpet remnant, but like carpet remnants, some carpet samples are able to be used to cover up existing highly trampled areas of your carpet to prevent them from getting wrecked.

Carpet samples should give you a good view as to what your carpeting will look like after it has been fully installed. These carpet samples are typically of very small size and people usually take about five to ten carpet samples to view inside of their home. Since you do not want to have to make many different trips back to the carpet company or request different color carpet samples on multiple occasions, it is best to ask for as many carpet samples as you think you’ll need. It is recommended that you ask for a minimum of five different carpet samples so that you are sure of your final decision as to which sample you though looked the best.

Samples are a great way to get opinions from others as well. If you have a bunch of carpet samples because you are thinking about getting a new carpet installed, it sure wouldn’t hurt to give some good friends a call and have them come over and give their opinions as to which color sample they think looks best. Getting the opinion of others is definitely helpful in the process of buying a new carpet.

Be aware that carpet samples typically vary a lot in size, shape, design, materials, and texture. Be sure to take all of these things into account when making your decision. One color carpet may match your house perfectly, while a totally different color carpet may have a texture that fits your room perfectly. In a case like this, you are stuck between two very good carpet samples but don’t know what to do.

In this case, you should always contact that company that gave you the carpet samples and see if they are able to find a carpet that combines the texture of one sample with the color of another. Many times, carpet companies will be willing to customize your carpet samples as well for a little bit extra money. Having your house look great is definitely worth spending a little bit more money on a customized carpet. Once again, if you do request a customization, have them do a sample to ensure that you are getting exactly what you asked for.

If you are not able to find free carpet samples, you will usually end up paying around one dollar per sample at the most. Usually, most carpet stores offer very cheap carpet samples if they are charging any money. Many people are looking for berber carpet samples nowadays, and if you are one of those people, I definitely recommend that you check out your local Home Depot. I have found nothing but great carpet samples there; they offer phenomenal color options.

Other department stores and some shopping-malls will even carry free carpet samples. Never be too shy to ask for a carpet sample if you think that getting some new carpeting is in order. I have seen many furniture stores at malls that offer free carpet samples for people who are serious about buying a new carpet. There are also great options online that you will have to pay for (at least the shipping), but you also are able to sit at the comfort of your home and visually compare the area of carpeting to the color that is showing up on your computer monitor.

If you want the best variety of free carpet samples, you should try to check out as many stores and websites as possible that offer them. You will likely find that each store carries a unique model of carpeting that you like. Do your best to keep in mind the price of each roll of carpet and pick the one that looks the best and that has the best price. I hope this guide helped you all understand what to do when looking for carpet samples.
