Cashmere is fine in texture, it is strong, light, and soft. When it is made into garmets they are extremley warm to wear. They are ideal in those cold winter months. Cashmere cardigans have long been popular with with men and women alike because they are long lasting and great for keeping warm.

Cashmere cardigans are warm and heavy without feeling heavy. They are considerably lightweight and never make you feel bulky. They offer comfort and warmth. They have long been associated with being higher class and somewhat expensive but they are actually reasonably priced for what they are you can always find one on sale. My favorite cashmere sweater is the slim fit cable cashmere from Ralph Lauren. Yes it is priced a little high when it is not on sale but if you do happen to find it on sale you save a great deal of money. It is knit to last a long time and serve warmth and a feel of luxury to the person who wears it. It is available in pink and orange and goes great with a pair of jeans. They come in a variety of sizes. They can be found on line and at fine retail stores. I love this cashmere cardigan because it feels lightweight yet keeps me very warm.

Cashmere Cardigan Overview

Ralph lauren is not the only company to offer great cashmere cardigans. Many companies offer them and they can be found on line and in fine retail locations such as lord & taylors. They come in a variety of sizes, colors, and designs. Wheather you are looking for something casual or something a little more dressy cashmere cardigans are always a great choice. Cahmere material is great because it can last for years and years.

If you are going to be buying one or already own a cashmere cardigan it is a great idea to keep up on taking care of it so it will last a long time. For starters allow your deodorant to completley dry before putting it on. You want to avoid perfume because you don't want to risk staining your cashmere cardigan or cause moths to be attracted to it. Try to keep it away fro rough items such as your purse, or jewlery because you don't want it to get caught to anything and maybe yank a string or cause a hole. I personally don't suggest dry cleaning your cashmere cardigan unless there is a stain. Instead I opt to wash it in my sink (make sure it's very clean). Wash it with cold water, never use hot you don't want it to shrink. Use a mild shampoo or a mild detergent made for fine fabrics such as woolite. Add a little water and the soap to the sink before putting the sweater in it. When washing it don't twist it or wring it just move it around in a swishing movement. Never hold the cashmere cardigan up while it's wet, it will stretch it out try to always hold it in a ball in your hands. Now drain that water and soap and rinse the cashmere cardigan with the same temperature water you used to wash it with and again don't twist and wring it out like a towel hold it like a ball in ur hands and squeeze. Next lay it on a clean dry towel and roll it up in the sweater to remove excess water. Than hang it up somewhere to dry out but keep away from heat sources and windows.

Cashmere cardigans are a great investment. They are warm, comfortable, and last a long time. They are well worth there cost for those cold winter months when you want to feel warm without having to feel like your clothes are to bulky. They look great at casual events with a pair of blue jeans or at a more formal event with a nice pair of dress pants.
