The hormone tests revealed this week show that the athlete 18 years old, Caster Semenya, has 10 times less testosterone than most men, but to exceed the average for females.

The brand won the 800 meters, was received as a true heroine in her country, where doubts about his sexuality have generated a massive rejection.

"Our grand dame of the sport" and "100 percent woman" were texts that were written in some of the banners seen on the great welcome they gave to the Johannesburg International Airport.

According to local president of the Federation of that sport, Leonard Cheun, Caster Semenya is traumatized to the uncomfortable situation, which is why hardly spoke at the press conference after his arrival.

Several scholars argue that this situation could have completed if it is found that the elevated testosterone production Caster Semenya naturally, not artificially induced.

Former South African President and Nobel Peace Prize, Nelson Mandela, in Johannesburg received his compatriot and world champion at 800 meters, Caster Semenya, star of a controversy that her country faces and the International Association of Athletics Federations

"I always wanted to meet him, and could hardly wait to tell my father," said Caster Semenya, glowing with happiness that she posed for the camera with the politician of 91 years.

Semenya that won the 800m World Athletics Championships in Berlin. Her triumph, with more than two seconds ahead of silver medalist and the fastest time of the season, sparked a controversy.

The International Athletics Federation announced that it had submitted to the athlete, male looking at a gender verification test, which led to the anger of his countrymen and led the South African Parliament to file a complaint with the Human Rights Commission United Nations (UN).

Caster Semenya is a woman tests are not always reliable as they are made by human beings and there is always human errors as well as temperament of evidence so what the doctors wrote on her birth certificate when she was born is what we believe is true and only god knows.

If Caster looks like a man, has no breasts, no womb, no ovaries and has testes, he is a man. Not a hermaphrodite.

Having internal testes is not uncommon in boys and is normally treated soon after birth. Coming from his background, he didn't benefit from proper medical care. It is likely that his testes didn't develop fully because they were inside his abdomen, under abdominal pressure and at a body temperature that inhibited their fonctionning.

Hence lower than average male testosterone levels.

It is unfortunate if this athlete had to go all the way to a world championship before anybody really cares about the obvious. This kind of problem is sometimes difficult to see (in real hermaphrodites) but not in his case. As a result, if he is sincere, this is humiliation in front of the whole world. However, I am wondering if he could really go through puberty without knowing there was a question about his gender. Having no womb, he had no period, no breasts either, a male look. I am wondering about this and about the ethics of the South African federation that supported him all the way through.
