Caster Semenya: Sexy photo session
64The world
champion in the 800 meters in the Berlin Olympics Athletics, South
Africa's Caster Semenya, appeared today on the cover of a magazine in
his country with a sleeveless dress with the headline "Look at Caster
now!".
Caster Semenya gender raised
questions last month at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin and
was subjected to a verification analysis of sex, Caster wore high heels and got
several dresses for their production for the magazine You. "I would take care more often and
wear dresses, but I never got the chance," she told to "You" the athlete
of 18 who wore makeup and nail polish.
Hours before
her victory in the 800m final in Berlin, the International Association
of Athletics Federations (IAAF) announced that would consider the
gender of Semenya after the athlete improve her best time in more than
eight seconds in a year. Semenya, who grew up in a village in the Limpopo Province, went from
relative obscurity and easily took the title of junior champion in
Africa in July in Mauritania and world champion in Berlin.
The IAAF, was criticized for making public the analysis and then apologized, has yet to announce the results.
Semenya coach, Wilfred Daniels, resigned last week
and said the deal he had with the IAAF athlete was "demeaning" and that
the management who had the Athletics Association of South Africa (ASA)
also was "appalling".
Daniels said the ASA Semenya subjected to a gender test before traveling to Berlin without her knowledge. According to the coach, she thought to be passing a drug test. For its part, the ASA rejected these accusations.
Speaking to "You" about the controversy, the shy student of sports, with broad shoulders and a deep voice said: "I see everything as a joke, I do not alter. God made me as I am and I accept that." At the same time, revealed that when she enrolled at the University of Pretoria preemptively told a colleague "I am a girl" to avoid further questioning.
