Susan:

My 10-year-old tabby has been fed all of his life on Fancy Feast, Friskies, and (as he matured) a variety of Friskies Special Diet flavors to prevent FUS.

All wet foods he gets heated up, just because he's spoiled.

"Treats" consist of an occasional Whiskas foil packet, a once-in-a-while Sheba, and the turkey and beef flavors of Whiskas Temptations as tide-him-overs before we open our daily can of Friskies.

So far he's been healthy, and has had few health problems.

Glad to hear it! So many have had such bad health due to their pet food diet.

I have been giving my 4 year old cat whiskas temptations chicken flavour and hairball control treats and the dentabite ones too but every time i give my cat anything now i am afraid that she will get sick. she only ate wet food once in awhile but at the present time she eats purina lean cat chow. would you be able to post a list of safe foods and treats that i could give to my cat because i am soon going to buy tin human food and give her that and never go back to cat food again.

well, yesterday i had to get my cat put to sleep and i think it was the food and treats that did it to her and i was told to get another cat right away so i went today and got two kittens and was told that they were eating whiskas dry cat food for kittens but in the ingredients it has wheat gluten in it so i do not know what i should give them so they have a fighting chance to be healthy and live a long life.they will never be able to replace my cat but they may be able to help fill the void and emptiness i am feeling without her.

Instead of worrying about the cr#p they put into your precious little kitty-treats why not make your own?

Get a can of salmon in water. (Make sure to get the salmon without the added salt-very important!)

Smash the salmon up in little chunks. (If you think about your boss as you do this, it can actually be fun :)

Put the salmon on a tray and place in oven preheated to 250 degrees F.

Bake for about 90 minutes. The time depends on humidity and such, just check to see when the salmon is getting crunchy throughout.

Cool and put in container. In my experience, you do not need to refridgerate this if it is baked sufficiently.

SERVE!!!! To the Royal Feline Family.

Fersure you'll be on their good side for at least a few days....lol....

Good thing *I'M* the one who runs the show here....

Evita,

Wonderful suggestion! I'm going to try it.

You run the show at your house, huh? Do you Kitty sit? LOL I have a couple who think they are the queen.

Hi Susan,

I've been so blessed by all your hard work that I am almost beyond words. I don't see a rating on Wellness Pure Delights Cat Treats. I know how busy you are, but I live in the country and it is really important to have a healthy treat to reward my cat with for coming in from his morning excursion to the outside world. A good treat also helps him to not catch critters out there. Please review when you get a chance...and THANK YOU for your diligence and love for our animals.

I recently purchased Whiskas Temptations and Dentabites for my cat. Even after eating just a few, she vomits. I'll never buy them again-
